As we think of our 3 QB's, 5 RB's, 1 FB, 5 WR's 3 TE's and 9 OL's, sometimes we think that we need more. More likely, we will not get this many. There seem to be only 46 non-special teams roster spots.
Belichick has SEVEN special team players who are almost LOCKS. Someone could beat them out FOR THEIR SPECIAL TEAMS positions.
The patriots continue to be among the very best on special teams, because Belichick uses lots of resources on these positions. BTW, these seven so NOT count returners, who must be able to play another position.
SPECIAL TEAMS (7)
K - Gostkowski
P - Allan
LS - Cardona
ST - Slater, Bolden, Ebner, King
