Haven't the Patriots broken the NFL record for number of NFL records broken in one season?

Holy crap! We have the record for records.
An astute observation, Patsox23.:rocker:

They also hold the record for most seasons for setting a record for most records broken in a season. In 2007 they set a record for most records broken in a season, and that is a record (one time.)

It won't be the case that we set the most records.

Why?

Think what happened in the first season ever...EVERY record got set then So I'm sure given the enormous number of obscure records (career 3rd down handoffs, etc.) that had to get "initialized" there our year won't be close.

Heckova year to be a pats fan though.

But that first year would be setting records in a single season not breaking the record for breaking the most records in a season. You can't break a record unless someone already set that record.
