There are a lot of match ups that favor the PATs but there is
on intangible that I really feel is key.

One of the players, I think Wilfork, said it in an interview so I know it is part of their preparation.
"Match their Intensity" was the phrase he used after the Giants game.

If PATs come out with that attitude then all will work out fine. IMO
Sometimes you prepare for a game and are all fired up. Then comes
game time and you're in a battle with a team that is more intense.
I think PATs are being coached to recognize this.

It was interesting he didn't say be more intense but rather
"Match their Intensity" . I think doing too much can be counter
productive but certainly PATs need to "Match their Intensity".

PATs Offense has to match the Intensity of the JAGs Defense.
PATs Defense has to match the Intensity of the JAGs Offense.
They do that and the other Matchups will favor the PATs.

Dude, it's the playoffs. I'm sure the Pats will have no problems matching the intensity of their opponents.

The Pats didn't match the intensity of the Giants because the Giants were acting like it was their Super Bowl and the Pats were looking at it like another (meaningless) game.

I don't think this game is that hard to figure out. This game is on our lines.

Our OL needs to make the right blitz pickups and run block well, these two things will contribute to giving Brady the time he needs.

Our DL needs to shut down the run and make Garrard try to win the game. I know he had a nice season but let's make him prove he can do it when it really counts.

Matching intensity is just a mindset and I really do not put much stock in it. If people do their job and play mistake-free football then no amount of Jags intensity will matter.

It's cliche to say it is on the lines but it really is. The Jags do not have the WRs to pressure our DBs like Burress or Wayne or even Chambers.

Jax is all about dominating the LOS. If they can't do that they have no answers.

Dude, tell it to Wilfork who played in the game.
To you it may have been meaningless but you didn't play in it ... thankfully.

I think Wilfork's reaction was the result of the Pats D coming out and playing flat for almost 3 quarters of the game.

You are wrong. Mindsets win and lose games when you have top teams
playing each other. Mindsets are the seeds of great upsets.
It's good we have coach that understands that and prepares his team
along those lines.
Wilfork's statement is a revelation of how these guys are being prepared.

I don't think NE was flat, but there is definitely a difference between playoff mode and season mode.

NE also finally saw 16-0 directly ahead of them and played a little tight.

That too.

Like I said, the Giants wanted to stop the Pats in the worst way and the Pats just wanted to win the game.
