So the IPCC is working on their 5th Assessment Report which IIRC will be published later in the year. This an article by ab 'expert reviewer' of AR5.

The author has a concern which is what he is calling "Omitted Variable Fraud", it concerns how the IPCC treats research concerning Solar magnetic activity and it's place in understanding climate. It is very long and worth a read.

The following link is to a video of Richard Feynman giving a series of lectures at Cornell in 1964, This one is on "The Character of Physical Laws - Seeking new laws", the lecture is about 1hr. Feynman talks about contemporary Physics problems of the day. Feynman wrote the Feynman lectures on Physics which has been used by most Physics majors over the past half century, they are so good because Feynmen is able to explain complex concepts very clearly.

There is a segment that should be shown to every student in every science class in America. If is describing how a new law is discovered using the scientific method. It starts at ~16:30 and runs about a minute. The next 5 minutes he expands on this and why laws can be proven wrong and can never proven right, talks about good laws (like Newton), He explains why scientist as he says : "trying to prove ourselves wrong as quickly as possible, because only in that way do we find progress" , The contrast between this and the "settled science" group proclaiming AGW and their activity couldn't be more stark. A real genius like Feynman understood that challenging what we know any theory is the fun part of science, and how new things are discovered.
