Well, at least he did more for the JEST than Vernon Gholston. :bricks: :singing:

Man, and to think how angry the Jets fans around here got when we kept trying to tell them that he isn't very good. The ultimate one-trick pony. Speed was all that he ever had, and he needs to just come to terms with that. When he came into the league and bulked up to be an every-down player, he lost his speed and got cut by Buffalo.

Following that, he actually made a smart move: he dropped the weight, and had some limited success with the Jets as a pass-rushing specialist who was a massive liability in every other phase of the game. Far from ideal, but you can put him on the field on third-and-long, at least. It's better than being out of the league entirely.

Naturally, he spent this offseason bulking up again to become an every-down player, since apparently nobody learned anything from his stint in Buffalo. Everything that's happened with him this season could be easily seen coming from a mile away. Didn't even require prediction: just watching history repeat itself.

Every once in awhile, situations like this come up. When they do, I can't help but wonder how so many people, whose entire livelihood is based on knowing this stuff, can miss something so obvious.

But JI said he was going to be the best of the best and the ultimate pass rush threat and will take the league by storm! :D

These are good. From the JI septic tank on Maybin.

Smart personnel move. Maybin was only effective on passing downs when Revis and Cro would blanket opposing WRs and give Maybin enough time to be forcefully thrown 30 yards into the backfield, re-group, and then sack the QB from behind as he held the ball.

Maybin gets into his car from the passenger side because he can't get around the car to get in on the driver's side.

Isn't he the guy who said he could gain or drop 25 pounds in a given week depending on the game plan? What a dope.

Ah, time again to reminisce about a classic Bill Simmons tweet. After the Bills drafted this guy and signed Merriman, he wrote (to paraphrase) "the Bills have added a Maybin and a has-been." Guess Maybin turned out to be a never was.

Their players all turn out to be busts; Hali, Posluszny, Lee, Bowman, Odrick, Wake, etc. Don't quit your day job and become a comedian.

I'll have to agree with you there,I loathe the Nittany Liars in college like I loathe the Steelers in football

But Jack Ham was an awesome player,I did respect him, despite his school and team :)
