Hope McDonald was waived/injured so at least it would mean the team wants to keep him. He looked good when he was out there, but can't seem to stay healthy.
Hawkins looked nondescript when I saw his reps...not surprised one bit, although the early cut seems to signify another move or three?
A sign that the Pats like what they see from Boyce and Thompkins at WR?
A sign that the Pats like what they see from Leon Washington at KR?
Or both?
Patriots getting rid of their "progress stopper" veteran WRs: Donald Jones and Lavelle Hawkins. Won't be shocked if Michael Jenkins is next
All depends on if the glass is half full or half empty I suppose.
To be fair, McDonald was signed in 2011 - so I'm not sure if he should be lumped in with Jones and Jenkins.
Injuries happen. It's too bad he couldn't stay healthy because there were times he looked good when given the opportunity in his first year with the team.

When does McDonald's contract end? I imagine that has a lot of effect on whether teams would or wouldn't want him on their IR.
If he's in the last year, I can't imagine why anybody would take him off waivers except in the hope of him actually playing this year.
