I found this playcall to be very questionable, as others have stated, kick the field goal, SD wasn't going to score again if they played for a week. Philip Rivers is going to bring them on a last minute game winning drive? Please.

I think your quote is incorrect, he is saying "we shouldn't have called THAT timeout", now doesn't that change everything and you can now see how classy Peyton is?

Quarterbacks have a fairly wishy-washy requirement (needs to be obvious), which is why they are typically used to draw a team offside:

"Quarterbacks can be called for a false start penalty (five yards) if their actions are judged to be an obvious attempt to draw an opponent offside."

What about when a QB bobs his head and changes his cadence to try to draw them offsides. Why isn't *that* called?

You all should quit busting on Dingy who is a great football coach and a quality person. Where people make a mistake about him I think is that they seem to think that he and he alone brings some sort of higher personal ethics to the job of coaching football. It is true that he is most likely a *lot* easier to work for than BB. However, it remains unproven that he somehow is a Saint above the Sinners of NFL coaches.
