How many of those people are also for voter suppression?

Most rational people accept states voter ID laws. We've been over this. What people are against is selective suppression (See Ohio's after hours voter laws by county)

fair is fair. If these people are requesting voter IDs, lets make the IDs free and easy to get.

    I'm down for that too.

Lets also fix those easily hacked e-voting machines too while we are being patriotic and wrapping ourselves up in freedom...

    where do I start?

Did you only read what I wrote? I think voter ID laws are fine. Each state can do whatever it thinks best. I just think that changing laws to make voting easier for one group and harder for another is kinda fukced up.

    MOST importantly....

You didn't look at the entire poll, I imagine you didn't click past teh Breitbart page, but the 4th question deals with voter suppression, and gives almost the exact same % (73)

here is the poll you never clicked on: (It literally took me 4 clicks)

Do you think voter suppression – that is, eligible voters taken off registration lists or denied the right to vote -- is a major problem, a minor problem or not a problem in presidential elections? - The Washington Post

so quit with the DIVA BS. I have no issues with voter ID laws. I DO have issues with voter suppression.

That puts me squarely with 74% of the people polled.

so how is agreeing with 3/4 of the peoiple being out of the mainstream?

    41+32=52?

did Fox news teach you math?

(its okay to say you F-ed up and didn't click on the actual survey, and took Breitbart at their slanted word...the 1st step is admitting you f-ed up...we all love you!)

    FAIL!

Actually, that seems to indicate that most people do not see voter ID as a form of suppression. Just because you link the two in your mind does not mean everyone else does.

I don't have much against voter ID in principle. What I do have a problem with is the rush to implement the laws before November. Seems pretty obvious what the intention is there. Given that voter fraud is a marginal problem, at best, it seems rational to me to defer implementation to 2016 to allow ample time for citizens to be notified of legal changes and secure the requisite identifications.

I would too if thats what is going on but its a false premise to begin with. Which was the point of the Breitbart article in the first place.

i would be in the camp of its a major problem if thats what was happening but its not.

Holy Diver do you think that Republican attack elephants hiding in playgrounds eating black children is a major problem?

Anyone who clicks on the links provided can see what happened here..

you got a BrietBONER, and you blew your load a bit prematurely. You saw an opinion on one part of a poll. This clever writer (Lets call him MIke Flynn) knows your kind very well, you are easily triggered. MIKE FLYNN got you! Sure, among your circle of favorite blogs and neo-con friends, this is a pleasurable % to throw about, chests defying gravity! Ah-HA! you see! Voter IDs are acceptable...I win...I win...I win....

But thats not the case HERE is it? Mike Flynn doesn't 'have' me.

Sure we see the quick scramble, and WILL CONTINUE to see it here. How the poll shows what Breitfart wanted you to get angry about...but anyone can click on these two websites and see your orgasm.

The funny thing is...a liberal LOON like me isn't against voter IDs either.

    Ya blew it.

Sort of like attempts to drop enforcement if immigration laws before an election, and prevent taking the dead off the voter rolls.

   .

It's a marginal problem until there is a very close election, as this one is probably going to be. I could see there being a rush in swing states, because heads could roll if voter fraud plays a role a la the hanging chads of 2000.

Doesn't seem bi-polar to me. It seems as though the majority of people do not consider voter ID laws to be voter suppression.

If you can take the time to register to vote and if you can take the time to cast your vote, then you can take the time to have your picture taken once every 8 years.
