What has Cuba done to the U.S. in the last 40 years? Why shouldn't we normalize relations? When Nixon normailized relations with China by flying over was that proof that he was secretly a communist?

beyond the political aspect, the only other thing is the question of a very large amount of property that was taken from people, businesses, etc........

if someone took everything you owned, how long would it take for you to get over it?

You got a whole bunch of people in America -- Miami being one such place -- who have lost thousands of loved ones to Castro's "ideological cleansing" after he took dictatorial control over Cuba. Tens of thousands -- if not more -- have died merely for disagreeing with Castro's Marxist techniques. He's got to earn their forgiveness first.

the liberal aspect has a very short memory.........it basically works like this: if you can take everything that people owned, kill their families and throw every good person in jail and then survive the next 40 years, you're ok in my book

on one hand, liberals are totalitarian in nature...............they just lack the backbone to try to pull it off

in other words, the last person you would ever want watching your back is a liberal.......or a taliban

It's not just about Castro, it's about all of the people still inside Cuba that suffer from the embargo. Yes Castro is a tyrant, but so are countless other leaders that America is and has been on normal terms with (China being far, far worse). It comes down to the fact that Cuba's success as a communist country threatens America's economic hegemony in Latin America. Same with Chavez, probably one of the least threatening figures in the world, who has a Marxist ideology that doesn't gel with American business interests so he must be marginalized.

blah blah blah, the conservative ideology is that they can do whatever you want to people as long as they do business with you. How very admirable...

SHOCK: Turkish TV reports on Obama in black face?

A turkish newsman goes on TV "IN BLACK FACE" and makes fun of Holy Barack and the only place I could find it was in the Drudge Report, where the hell is the outrage, why isn't the Black Caucus up in arms, why isn't Mush Mouth Matthews being hospitalized, where is Sharpton & Jackoff.

Why aren't there any riots in California.
Does Turkey have an embassy in the USA, if so why aren't the windows being broken?

    Remember Don Imus
Is America's Black Community afraid of Turkey if so, why?

Well, actually that is the description of the American Neo-Con, Corporatocric approach in a foreign land, which is why they hate us, in so many lands, and certainly not because of our freedom. Had that been the case, they would be hating and nuking the sheet out of Sweden.

Look up "Corporatocracy" and you will never find anything liberal about it. However, you will run into many of your so-called Conservatives, there.

"Manifest Destiny" is their golden book, to make the US the biggest imperalist / colonist nation, ever. All at the expense of the "disposable" nations.

May I remind you that we illegally invaded a foreign country, Panama and then attacked Iraq because it had done the same thing, and that is after we told Saddam that it was ok?

A great book on this very subject is "Confessions of an economic hitman".
It was on the NY Times bestseller list for over 70 weeks. I would highly recommend it.
