FOXNews.com - Health Care Countdown: Senate Bill Could Hit Middle Class Hard

Can we accept the fact that we can't avoid being taxed any more? Everybody is taxed. ObamaCARE is not free.

Buy a beat up pick up truck and plough....no one will know you're moonlighting and I promise not to tell as long you as you don't rat on me!

    So far, 2 storms = $4,500....just sayin'

Paid $2,900 for the truck with plough....so I'm already up $1,500 and counting. Plus my friend over at the state depot has been giving me free gas!

Given that insurance companies have a tiny 3% or so profit margin, you actually think they're going to have taxes raised on them and NOT pass it on to their customers ?

    Now THAT is

Like I've said....If this administration breaks its promise NOT to raise taxes on those earning less than $250K, then I'll break my promise to pay taxes on all my income....fair is fair, after all.

You will pay more . . . will it be classified as a "tax increase" ? Probably not. But taxes on businesses that are passed on to you in higher costs are the same as tax increases on you.

Exactly. Call the tax whatever you want to but at the end of the day it's all going to work just like it always has; somehow someway it all gets passed onto us. There's no other way a business, especially a small one, could survive. Even if the business chose not to pass it's tax increase onto us it'll come out in another way, like raises, bonuses, etc.

It's a downward spiral no matter how you spin it.

The great cinema hit "Avatar" poses corporations as EVIL. Anyone who believes that should move to Europe!

The bottom line is that until these "evil" corporations start to do well and hire new workers, AMericans will continue to suffer. We NEED them to start doing well, so that means we need to creat an environment that sends the message, "America wants you to do well, our lives depend upon it".

INcreasing taxes on them is definately sending the wrong message!

You know, you probably should be paying for your gas. It's one thing to avoid taxes on your extra cash income. It's completely another to be funded by your states taxpayers in doing so. Another thing to know is. Pigs get fat and Hogs get slaughtered.

The Medicare savings are not happening either, that money will have to come from somewhere. The Mayo Clinic fired the first shot, when tons of hospitals stop taking Medicare patients, the $500B in savings - shock - will be restored.
