I voted Gilyard for several reasons.

One, he's the toughest kid of the bunch, and his attitude is close to Hines Ward. He runs precise routes and has outstanding hands. And, finally, he should be available in the second round (because his speed isn't up to par like the other guys). I think he's a great football player, though he may be the next Peter Warrick as well (that's a concern).

You can also include Jacoby Ford as a possible playmaker type WR in the later rounds.

I'm all for drafting two WRs, a playmaker and a big flyer like Arrelious Benn.

Damian Williams seems to be the second or third best prototypical WR in the draft (after Dez Bryant and LaFell).

Here are a few more guys:

Guys in the draft who will be possibly available in the 2nd round or later.

Golden Tate: Could be taken in the late first, early second round. I think we go defense on our first two picks, but if there is no one that BB likes there. Has outstanding speed, return ability, makes huge plays in the passing game and is just a flat out burner. The Patriots usually like these guys. I doubt it, but we will see.

Damien Williams: First round talent. Some mocks have him sliding into the 2nd round, so I will put him in here. Has good speed and is another playmaking type. I see there at 22, but us not taking him for more pressing needs. Wouldn't be bad as our 2nd pick of the 2nd round if somehow he were to fall there.

Brandon Lafell: Always liked him. Comes from a great football program at LSU, has played in big games, good playmaker, and good speed and is a very smart player. Likely to be taken somewhere in the mid 2nd round. Be a good pick here.

Mike Williams: Has some character issues, but would be a great I mean great value in the 4th round. Before he left the Syracuse program, he was 2nd in the FBS in receptions and 3rd in receiving yards. He has outstanding in the high 4.3's and with his recent problems with the Orange is projected to drop to the 3rd to 4th round area. If he is there in the 4th round, I would grab him without even thinking. He could be a good 3rd or 4th option next season and possibly more beyond with Moss possibly leaving after next season.

Marshawn Gilyard: I really don't like him that much. Though he has had good production, though I believe it is in the system he is in. He is produce of the offense there in Cincy. I wouldn't take him in the 2nd round, where he is projected to go.

Jordan Shipley: A very good slot receiver, who makes huge plays and would be GREAT in the slot for this team. He would also help in the return game and wouldn't be a bad value as 52nd overall pick. Would love to see him in a Patriots uniform.

Other guys I like in the later rounds

    Trindon Holliday
    Jacoby Ford
    Freddy Barnes
    Antonio Brown

Golden Tate and Mardy Gilyard were in the original poll. Damien Williams, Brandon LaFell, Mike Williams and Jordan Shipley are different knids of players. Jacoby Ford and Antonio Brown are later round alternatives.

I explained that. Read what I said about Ford and Brown.

Spiller, but i think we need a pass rusher more, so the 1st rnd pick should be used there.

    #3 Jersey

How would he fit in with Edelman and Welker, though?

I voted for Tate, I really like him and he should have some clue of offensive concepts at a minor league version of the NFL having played for Weis. That said, I love McCluster as a Faulk replacement, he runs way tougher than his size but I'd be hoping he can beef up a little in an NFL weight program.

I don't believe Welker will be back until at least mid season next season, he may very well miss the entire season. He would be a great guy to put his spot and take his place on kick off and punts.

Don't like the idea of Spiller in a Pats uniform. Belichick craves three down players, especially early on. Spiller isn't that. If we want a replacement for Kev, then go for Devine (who might well be more capable of playing on every down) or McCluster later on.

As for who I'd chose out of those, it would be Tate. The kid presses all the right buttons when you watch him (as does Freddie Barnes). And would make a superb #2.

Golden Tate or Jahvid Best for me, Best would be ideal for returns and with his speed he could be a perfect on screens and in the flat. Tate looks to be a good WR with home run ability - like Best 2 play makers that would improve the O from day 1.
