I'm going to Vegas next month and I'm looking at another Pats windfall (I had $50 on them to win SB XXXVIII, nice payday), SO I'm again planning on laying $50 on the Pats. So I was looking up the odds and incredibly the Dolts are 5/2! The Pats are 10-1! Keep going Colts fans, let's see if we can get the line for the Pats to 15-1 before I get there.

Also for all of those who think that we are no longer the class of the AFCE:
Dolphins:40-1
Bills: 100-1
Jets: 100-1

Here is all the odds:(of course, they differ slighty from casino to casino)

10-1? Even Vegas must have been stunned about Adam V leaving.

We were 7-1 right after the SB. Miamis odds are great thats probably gonna change.

Not a Cowboy fan but If I were you FTW...I would lay at least $25 on the Cowboys...myself I would lay $100 and I don't even gamble. The Eagles have issues, the Redskins will self implode.

I get a kick out of all of this. The NFL decries gambling. They abhor it and are constantly menitoning how it is not right to gamble, etc, and their players are watched, etc....

Yet they condone this kind of crap from Vegas, and of course the daily and weekly lines on all games.

Kind of hypocritical i would think.

Well, the really can't control what Vegas does. I'm not sure condone would be the right word.

How about accepts? I mean, why do you think the injury report comes out every week and coaches are fined for not being truthful?

Thats weird... They were 35-1 after the SB, then a week later went to 25-1

After Culpepper signed they jumped to 11-1....

I don't understand Carolina at 20-1, or Pittsburgh at 12-1. No respect?

The NFL does not condone gambling.

In fact, the NFL forbids the Vegas casinos from using the word "Super Bowl".

If casinos are having parties surrounding Super Bowl activities, they'll vaguely reference "The Big Game."

Lawsuit threats by the NFL over trademark infringements on the Super Bowl name and team logos have all but quashed the massive parties and special events once popular at so many Las Vegas casinos.

The NFL didn't want casinos charging guests to watch the game while the league continued to shy away from an association with anything gambling-related.

.

Colts at 5/2 is a sucker's bet - Vegas should make a lot on that one.

Try and get a room in Vegas for Superbowl weekend, you would have better luck getting a cheaper room in Miami. I love Vegas, this will be my 6th trip in the last ten years. I think I might retire there. However, there is nothing better than strolling into a sportsbook at 10 am with 8 games on, and the drinks are free!

Colts at 5/2 makes perfect sense. Anyone who knows anything about football knows that the Colts, losing Edge, Triplett and Thornton, then overpaying for Adam V, are clearly an improved team.
