Impeaching someone for saying one thing and doing another...?

hahhahahah....we wouldn't have any elected officials left!

    and....

This 'video' is EDITED to make you angry about Obama...

Real Clear Politics.....you are going against what the name of your website is....

I still read that site...but have just notched ONE on the propaganda tally for them. This is misinformation at best....they are manipulating video to create a stance...not REAL CLEAR, unless they are talking about the stance they are taking against a healthcare debate.

What this thread, and that edited video IMPLIES...isnt what the exchange was about.

Yeah people don't get impeached over policy differences, nor should they.

I do think he will lose at the ballot box in 2012, abd take the party with him.

well that certainly cleared up nothing. Only thing that did was take away 6 minutes of my life I will never get back. I didnt see anywhere in the "unedited" version that made me feel any better about the President lying to the American people regardinghis way of doind politics. They were talking about the health care bill. And Senator McCain pointed out how the bill itself was constructed on lies. And Obama said nothing about it. I would of felt better if he said: "John, we are not compaigning anymore. The election is over. I said what I needed to to get elected. And now that I am President, I am doing what I need to do, even if its going back on campaign promises, to get this bill passed". At least he would be honest.

    Oh context....

    (sigh)

    its lost on some.

what he was SAYING was that its not time to make campaign promices, or even to go back to that kind of grandstanding. It was time to talk about healthcare.

Paraphrasing: THE CAMPAIGN IS OVER...get to work!

I like what Obama said to McLame:

Obama said in response, "Let me just make this point, John, because we're not campaigning anymore. The election's over." :rocker:

"I am reminded of that every day," McCain said, forcing a smile.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Was obama supposed to be different ? YES.
Did you defend him by comparing him to "every politician" ? YES.

As a supporter of Obama, I'm pi$$ed at him for not following through on the mandated policy of health insurance reform. I'm pi$$ed at him for catering to bankers....I'm pi$$ed at him for not recinding the Bush Tax Cuts.

HOwever...He's been frickin outstanding in a bunch of other areas, The Stimulus, How our nation is viewed by the world, Iraq, Afghanistan. Putting discressionary spending ON THE BOOKS (even though it make him look bad to stupid people)

He certainly didnt campaign like anyone we had seen up to his point, and I'm sure people will compare his run to other up and comers in the future as a positive thing.

I'm still holding out hope, his reception from a supporter like me is still "Luke-warm" at best. If I met him, I'd suggest that he becomes more like Bush: disregarding what detractors say about his policy and just do it.

Looks like this debate today may have swung him on the dumb quest for bi-partisanship.

So I guess what you are saying is that is does not bother you that the President needed to lie to the American voters regarding HEALTH CARE to get elected. You can pass this whole thing of on the election as much as you want, it simply does not change the fact that Obama lied about Health care and how he could attain the bill. The only this has to do with the campaign is that is when he made those promises, or lies as they are now known to be. If he lied about what he needed to do to pass health care, then how are we supposed to take him at his word and believe him about what its contents are? He couldnt pass it on it merits alone, so he had to break a campaign promise. It has everything to do with it. You want to talk about healthcare Mr President, ok, then why did you need the shady backroom deals and special interests to pass it? Thats basically the same thing Senator McCain said. But because he mentioned the campaign, it gave the President and out by saying the campaign was over. Unfortunatly for him, his lies, which regarded health care, are not. Its to bad he couldnt stand up and be a leader and explain himself.

Funny....as a man who voted for Obama, I'm pissed off about how he's TRIED to handle the economy and I've been against every single bailout/stimulus he's authorized because it's done nothing good regarding positive long-term effects upon our economy.

BTW....I was also against Bush bailing out the banks. I sent over a dozen faxes to various members of congress, but I guess they actually believed they knew what's best for us.

Let us be absolutely clear, our gov't does NOT know what's best for us...never has, never will.

I was shocked when I watched the video on this, I assumed the comment was in the context of the question and was an appropriate answer but there was no reason at all to say it other than to jab McCain like a teenager would. obama gets more sad and pathetic (to me) every day.
