Chicago Thugs Politics, rush it through, don't read it.

Doesn't Barack have a beautiful smile, I cried when he was sworn in, I still fill up when I think about it, God isn't it wonderful.

From what I read, nobody is going to 'read' thousand pages of healthcare. Cap & trade bill again. It's dejavu.

And either way, it's RIDICULOUS for presidents from either party to "push through" legislation that they feel is necessary for the country. Anytime any politician from ANY party wants something pushed through without debate or full disclosure, an immediate red flag should be raised.

They (I am in not that group) pay almost all the income tax already. But, still, you want more.

Regarding healthcare, the obamans want it because the popularity is dropping and the chance of Democrats toeing the party line is dropping too. Forget single payer, they may not even get a bill done at this rate.

It's always scary to me, no matter who's in power. I understand that there may not always be ill intent there, but even a law poorly worded unintentionally can be a pain to overturn.

If we had term limits on these representatives, maybe they wouldconsider reading laws before they vote on them, instead of where they will get funding for bumper stickers and attack ads for the next election....

    Wow :

"The proposal includes an extra 5.4 percent tax on those earning more than $1 million . . . The legislation calls for an additional tax of 1 percent levied on those couples earning more than $350,000. Those with $500,000 in income would pay an extra 1.5 percent, according to the legislative documents . . . Increases could be triggered in 2013 to 2.0 percent and 3.0 percent, respectively."

Democrats' Healthcare Bill Calls for Tax Hikes on Affluent - Healthcare * US * News * Story - CNBC.com

Not exactly light on the pocket book. As stated, this wouldn't affect me but another 2% on those at $350K by 2013, it's just not right.

    cry me a river....

the day they lower gas prices for the average worker, or the price on milk for Joe Public, then we can talk. These people just had their taxes CUT. All we are asking is to go back to where they were. DAMN! I thought poor peeps were complainers...but SHEESH, you have BF compaining on behalf of the elite about taxes......

    AMAZING!

Someone making 350k complaining about being taxed can go *** themselves. Chances are you made your 350k on the backs of a bunch of people who don't have healthcare, and can't afford food sometimes.

That is absolutely the truth, this is just pandering to the pathetic and jealous. A lot of people who are compassionate want everyone to pay the least amount of taxes as possible. Those who are losers want those who have done better than them to be taxed to death out of some twisted revenge.

I think you want a flat income not a flat tax. Patters will be all over you for wanting a flat tax.
