Good stuff from Obama ... removes an obstacle to the bigger debate about what is best for the country. While I believe everyone has a right to keep their faith personal it is clear that being a member of such a controversial type church detracts from larger issues the country faces.

Though I don't yet trust the socialist hiding in Obama I am leaning his way vs the dangerous McCain. IMO ... the less socialism I see in Obama the better he looks to me ... just my opinion ... my 2 cents.

Not sure you can walk away from 20 years of a church including baptisms, weddings, etc, just because it's convenient. He is what he is and his church is a big part of that.

I watched his announcement live. Alot of stuttering and stammering. Asked if he condemns the actions of his church his reply was no. How can a person who wants to lead this nation and bring people together not condemn a church whose foundation is built on racism? This was a pure political strategy in the hopes of nullifying some things that he now knows may very well come out later this year concerning his affiliation with Trinity.

As I predicted this will not go away, convenient wright wing talking points that will get more play than the issues whatever they are determined to be.. elections are now about discrediting the candidate, rather than dealing with the issues confronting this country..

Still question why Obama is or was responsible for what the Catholic Priest said in his church??, was he there?? Did he tell them to do it?? I don't get any of this.. leaving his church is a good thing, but this will never die.

Why do people like Father Fligger and Uncle Jeremiah purposely want to hurt Obama, they both did this on purpose, they knew the minute they started yelling that everybody in America would see it, they don't want Barry to win, do they.

Why didn't a wonderful nice young man like Prince Barack WALK AWAY from all that "Hate" years ago, why did His Holy Highness, Prince Barack Hussein Obama wait until he was "FORCED" to do it---

If they did want him to win, they would have dropped out of sight and let Obama do his thing. They couldn't help themselves, though. They're con-men and crooks who don't want to work another day in their lives. I think Obama really liked his church and it sucks that he caved into the pressure from the media.

I haven't heard a good idea from him yet on "the issues confronting the country" but it's irrelevant, his church is still part of him and is a factor in who is elected.

If he stood for what I believe in - lower taxes, drilling for our own oil, partial privatization of SS, I would vote for him regardless. His church isn't a MAJOR factor but it's a factor - it has to be.

You could be right on everything and as soon as Pant Suit drops out we will find out all about the Real Obama, they will go through his closets with a fine tooth comb this summer as well they should, after all this "Bush Sh!t" this country should put anybody that wants to be president through the meat grinder, Obama's enemy's are accusing him of all kinds of things if he is the innocent fine upstand heroic saint that his people say he is then he should HELP THEM GO THROUGH HIS CLOSET, PROVE THEM WRONG BARACK YOU WILL BE THE GREAT AMERICAN HERO.

    The Media:
Go after Obama, find out everything there is to find out we have a right to know, the "Cover Up" Walter Cronkite days are over, Bloggers, Fox, Cable, Internet, GO GET HIM, if he is the wonderful Princely Savior his groupies say he is then he should be our President.

Most people I've heard or read don't say he's responsible. They question his judgement, and selection of places to worship. Also, you have to keep in mind, this isn't just some random "Catholic Priest" guest speaking at his {former} church. This is, by BARACK'S OWN ADMISSION, one of his three "trusted" spiritual advisors. That article goes waaaaaay back to 2004 which was earlier in his political career (early in BO's career and long before these guys were know).

He listed Wright, Pfleger, and JAMES MEEKS (the worst of the three IMO), the the three that he primarily turns to for spiritual healing, fellowship and advice. The fact that he gets ALL OF his spiritual advisement from documented "peddlers of hate" is LEGITIMATELY troubling. We're not talking some of, or the bulk of, he gets ALL OF his religious counsel from 3 guys that basically espouse the same message, which is clearly on display in the various clips. You may not care about that, but to think that isn't something that is "in play" when it comes to his character is pretty naive.

If it was just some random guy speaking at church he belonged to? Yeah, I'd agree with you, not really something that should be taken into account. THAT IS NOT THE CASE HERE.

Too little, too late, and he only did this because of political pressure, and not cuz he thinks it's right, or wanted too. That speaks volumes about how he feels, with respect to what's being said under that roof. I'm still waiting to hear why he stayed there for 20 years, while they were spewing hatred.

Obama Is Not Responsible For What His Uncle Jeremiah Or The Minstrel Show Priest, Father Fligger Said Obama Is Responsible For Sitting In That Racist Dump For Twenty Years And Listening To It.

Watch The Jumping Cheering Crazy Racist Congregation When Father Fligger Is Dancing And Prancing Around Imitating Uncle Jeremiah, Does Anybody Think That These Racist Bastards Just Started Doing This, They Have Been Giving Standing Ovations To This Hate Crap For Years And Barack Hussein Obama Has been Right There With Them, Barack Left The Church But It Is To Late And He Only Left Because His Pals Father Fligger And Uncle Jeremiah FORCED Him To.
