I saw that and I threw up in my mouth ... he is so full of crap it's coming out his ears. If he was a Catholic or a Christian or whatever he would have a religious mentor like all the other Presidents who wore religion on their shirtsleeve. (not you shirt).

Oh yeah I pray to God every night that he look the other way when I kill children with missiles from drones and when I find ways to justify late term abortion or even 2nd trimester abortion ...

America is tired of this snake oil salesman.

Obama: I pray every night, read the Bible - The Hill's Blog Briefing Room

yeah he prays all right ... and I love the Jets and the Yankees ... long time too.

Is he one of those Americans Americans that cling to religion and guns that he talked about?

In any case I believe he does pray ... to himself of course.

But he doesn't remember the sermons... he does remember recruiting the people in the church for the campaign.

It would be a problem if he said his god talked back to him.

Religion, god, and the afterlife don't work for me, but I can't claim that there's something in science that disproves them.

I saw that, find all of the religiousity in mainstream america somewhat nauseating.. pray in private, do good things in public... it is not all that complicated.

Pray for peace and acceptance of god's will, not something situational..

    Yup ........................... :yeahthat:

I have no problem with religious people talking religion in the news ...
Actually I have no problem with people referencing their god but I have a big problem when they think god had a hand in their success ... because it that's true then god has a hand in children and others getting killed and molested... they can't have it both ways.

Why would you care what someone else believes or doesn't believe?

What difference does it make to you?

I can believe they are full of crap ... i have that right also.

They can believe what they want ... but when they make it public then public it is ... they are open to commentary.

Some religious public figures want those of us who aren't to think that they have every right to blather their nonsense on TV all day and night but athiests should not be considered as good as they are. Athiests will go to hell. Athiests are immoral. Athiests are unworthy to hold powerdul public positions. The media also thinks this. That's why Obama and most other politicians lie about and amplify their religious fervor. They think they have to. That's why so many athiests keep their mouths shut. We'll never know how many there are unless the culture of bullsh!t can be broken somehow...maybe through some scientific discovery or something...I dunno.

This dunce tweetter is insignificant except that he just adds a drop in the bullsh!t bucket. When Obama lies about religion, that's serious.

And I agree. People need to stop wearing their religion and charity on their sleeves. Did anyone else grow up in a culture where you would leave an anonymous gift at the door of a worse-off neighbor? When someone died, you would leave a meal at the door with no claim to fame? Imagine a modern politician or TV star doing that? I bet Tim Wakefield does.

Hey c'mon now, lets hold people to a reasonable standard. Wake's the best.

I've heard some interesting theories about praying. It may be that focused thought about the 'right' way things should be helps a leader Psychologically, to attenuate his or her plans, so to speak.

I've also heard some pretty weird stuff about something called 'Affirmations' Google it if you're curious.

Besides, you never know if there is a big guy up there keeping score and paying attention.

Ah, the age-old problem of how bad things happen to good people.

I similarly struggle with questions like how God let the famines, wars, and genocides in the world happen. Because of my background, I am particularly troubled by God's "purpose" in the Holocaust.

Mortality, too, must raise a theological question for every thinking man. Imagine that, as Joseph Heller said, God murders every one of us.

I do not recall, however, ever responding to the Almighty because of my performance in a game of any kind... even when Ray Rice performs poorly for me throughout a whole season of fantasy football -- and is on the no cut list.

Hell, at least my fantasy team has playoff hopes, know what I'm sayin Steve?
