Funny how previous Presidents never had this problem.

Personally, I think bowing may have been the least of a president's faults.

Hmm, a thread implying a president is subservient for respecting another county's culture......Sad.

Well, Bush is lowering his head to have a medal placed around his neck, not bowing. You cannot seriously be calling that the same.

You say Bush bowed also. Keeping in mind that stooping over so a guy 8 inches shorter than you can place a medal around your head is not the same as bowing, I am wondering when exactly did he do that?

If it is just a part of Japan's culture and a sign of respect, then where is the return bow?

How about the kiss???? was the medal some type of lip imprint?? There is always an excuse for what Bush did, and in reality this whole thing is like coke or pepsi...

Did you actually want to compare the diplomacy of Bush and Obama?

LOLOL! Once again you have said something happened, been challenged to provide evidence, and then ran to the corner with your tail tucked between your legs trying to change the subject. You really are just completely clueless.

Yes Bush kissed the guy and yes they held hands. Both gestures are signs of mutual respect between equals. Bowing - especially as low as Obama bowed both here and to the Saudi prince - is the universal sign of meek subservience and submission.

I know, it isn't pictured here so there mustn't have happened. I'm sure you could get agent 13 or IJeuano to buy that, they'd eat that right up, but not me.

We will be attacked again within the next four years, if we fight back we will lose, nothing is forever, America is now in decline, watch the Nation Of Islam they are on the rise, they have a new friend in Barack Hussein Obama.

I thought Bush kissing the Arabs was disgusting but watching this bastard Obama constantly Bowing to these foreign leaders makes me ashamed and embarrassed for my country, I think thats why he does it because there are millions more like me (we are neo cons) the smirking lip smacking jerk knows he is offending us, I was once a democrat back when they supported the working man, God, the Flag and their country, they are now a party of Socialist far left wing nasty vermin.

Here's the video footage. Go judge for yourself and tell me what part of this video has the Emperor returning the bow as low and meekly as Obama's.

YouTube - Barack Obama bows to Japan's Emperor Akihito

The bowing Obama does at the end of the video is appropriate. The full waisted lowering his head as low as possible is just embarrassing.
Well I haven't been on this board for over three years but my impression is you are the type who enjoyed dishing out the criticism during the Bush administration, but can't take it now that the shoe is on the other foot.

Continue the ad hominen attacks you constantly whine about... weren't most of the 9-11 boys from Saudi??

Japan has not done any terrorism stuff to the US in the last 60 years... bowing is a sign of respect.. that is all.
