Obama campaign's spending outpaces its fundraising

Obama spends, spends, spends. He is spending money like he does tax payer money. This is a perfect example of how Obama doesn't know how to budget money or how to handle money. He is spending more than he is bringing in. It's a lot easier to spend someone Else's money than your own.

That's quite a stretch, even for you.

Ordinarily, I'd let your latest 0-for-reply thread sink to the second page, but it's worth pointing out that it was Dick Cheney (a con) who insisted deficits don't matter.

Perhaps this country would "bring in" more revenue if it stopped shipping jobs overseas for the sake of profit - a policy platform YOUR party prefers. There's no spinning that fact.

Anyway, here are the facts, according to the official government statistics:

Obama spending binge never happened - MarketWatch
    • In the 2009 fiscal year — the last of George W. Bush’s presidency — federal spending rose by 17.9% from $2.98 trillion to $3.52 trillion. Check the official numbers at the Office of Management and Budget.

    • In fiscal 2010 — the first budget under Obama — spending fell 1.8% to $3.46 trillion.

    • In fiscal 2011, spending rose 4.3% to $3.60 trillion.

    • In fiscal 2012, spending is set to rise 0.7% to $3.63 trillion, according to the Congressional Budget Office’s estimate of the budget that was agreed to last August.

    • Finally in fiscal 2013 — the final budget of Obama’s term — spending is scheduled to fall 1.3% to $3.58 trillion. Read the CBO’s latest budget outlook.

There has been no huge increase in spending under the current president, despite what you hear.

Why do people think Obama has spent like a drunken sailor? It’s in part because of a fundamental misunderstanding of the federal budget

    Population: You.

Stop posting for a while. Come back when you can actually grasp topics you attempt to engage in.

He comes here when he's angry and feels a need to vent and feel some id of superiority. somewhere out there there's a world where 99% of the people share his opinions ... sadly for him it's not this country or planet.

All of this points to the need for campaign financing, no matter what Rove and his minions say.

well unfortunately they will point to the past and say it was spent before. Actually IMO is they were forced to spend less then the vetting would go back in favor of the media where it really belongs. not that the media is perfect but an election where most of what is remembered were from ads is not a good thing.

I think Titus was referring to this statement by the op, "Obama spends, spends, spends. He is spending money like he does tax payer money."

As far as Obama's spending goes, one assumes they have a strategy. They believe that spending will force Democratic superpacs and others to step up their game or possibly they really are spending a massive amount on the ground game and believe that will win them the election. Apparently, they've built a massive ground game, but we certainly don't see it here in MA, of course. And, advertising is a different business. I think there are many of us who do not spend that much time watching tv. 90% of my tv time is spent watching Netflix movies or on the internet, and I don't think I'm atypical.

Just a thought... you might want to read the original post as it relates to the ridiculous "point" of his link. Or you could just mind your business.
