Makes no difference they will put their poster boy back in no matter what he does, he can start a few more wars and they will just look the other way.

That's because Obama is alienating liberals. In the end liberals, like conservative did, will come around and vote for him, but if the Republicans elect a "moderate" like Romney, I think a lot of Democrats (myself included) will devote more energy to Congressional races than Republican races. However, if the Republicans choose a Perry or Bachmann, I think that you will see Obama's base lit up again like it was in 2008. Right now, thanks to Romneycare, a lot of Democrats see Obama as a DLC (aka Lieberman or Clinton) Democrat and Romney not much worse.

Wow, you know he's in trouble when his supporters are comparing his approval rating to members of congress, and Sarah Palin.

I said it when he got elected. With high expectations and lots of promises, comes the potential for a cliff like fall. If conditions 1 year from now are similar to today, then he might want to work on his resume. If they improve, then he'll be able to pick out a new rug for his office.

Well Romney came in like 7th in that little poll they held in Iowa over the weekend. He finished behind the pizza guy who doesn't like to read in fact. For perspective, he won it in 2007.

Something tells me that Obama isn't left sleepless in fear of a general election involving himself and Bachman or Paul.

Not really. More an acknowledgement (and a reminder) that virtually all sitting politicians are in deep doo-doo.

It's interesting to me that people will point to Obama's low numbers as proof that he's failing, that people are disillusioned, that Americans don't support him and then crow about how The Tea Party is the answer - that The Tea Party is rising in American favor, that they, and they alone, hold the key to solving all the current problems - and totally ignore the fact that most of the sitting Tea Party representatives are polling lower than Obama.

You can't rationally say that one is popular and one is unpopular when they are, in truth, the same.

What the heck does this even mean?

When Republicans have low approval, it's repeatedly stated that their "extreme" views are not part of the mainstream.

When Democrats have low approval, it means the American people just don't understand.

BTW, can we stop with the Palin attention yet? She's not running for President and frankly I'm starting to be embarrassed for you all.

What you're saying is that the majority of Americans are "gushing fawning liberals"? I doubt that.

This should come as no surprise. The economy sucks, and no one knows how to fix it. Thus, almost every single politician on the national stage is getting dragged down.

Wouldn't it be great to hear, oh...I dunno...Newt Gingrich just throw up his arms and admit that?

"About the economy...I honestly don't know what to do about it! Nothing seems to work. And no one else knows either. There. I said it."

    Palin:
They will never let her go, just the mention of her name drives them insane and she counts on it, their fascination with her is what made her.

Mentioning a number without a link so that we can see the date the poll was taken means nothing, 13. It could be from last year for all we know.

And yeah, if the poll was taken very recently when every other poll says 39% I'd have to wonder about their methodology, wouldn't you?

If it's off for Obama I'd say chances are it's off for everyone else, too.
