Obama: Americans to Mars within his lifetime - Yahoo! News

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – President Barack Obama predicted Thursday his new space exploration plan would lead Americans beyond the moon and to Mars within his lifetime. "I expect to be around to see it," he declared.

Obama's bold prediction was an answer to critics, including several former astronauts, that his changes would deal a staggering blow to the nation's manned space program.

Speaking at the Kennedy Space Center, where America's moon missions originated decades ago, Obama said he was "100 percent committed to the mission of NASA and its future." ...........................

Good Lord, you honestly believe aliens made that face on Mars too, don't you? They probably did it from their secret bases on our moon, right?

I can't cross this bridge because you are living under it, and might eat my billy goats.

    It's a moon.

And it's just a stinking piece of rock that didn't get destroyed by impacts or worn down by time.

Whenever HD ridicules other people for having ridiculous beliefs, I like to point out that he believes there are secret alien bases on the moon. It helps put him back in his place. :D

In tough economic times I can't think of anything that's more worthy of taking a backseat; but times won't always be tough. I look forward to the day when we can go back to putting serious money into finding the Vulcans, or to be precise, flying around until they find us. The shuttles need to stay gone though. They were good in their day but when we get back to this it should be with something brand new.

Obama is screwing everything in the country up so he might as well destroy NASA and their plans as well.

God Obama the all knowing, he is the way and truth, bow your head as he passes for he truly is The Great One.

    HAIL OUR DEAR LEADER

I am sure she can during the right time of the year* since I doubt there is terribly much light pollution where she lives.

*When I say "right time of year" I don't mean, like, every June or every July or something like that. I mean when Mars in in opposition, which I believe happens every 2.1 years or so.

"The President declared he was prepared to 'reach across the aisle' and kick off the next phase of the space program with an unprecedented 41-astronaut capsule manned by U.S. Senators..."
