Well since it is the NYT it must be true right?

This refrences the Egyptian dude NEM referenced as Abu's replacement on the hit list.:

Since the Times reported this guy was in Iraq since 2002 it MUST be true, or else the Times would have challenged it right?

No one is disputing that Bush created an opening for terrorists to come to Iraq, so what's your point? Of course there are terrorists in Iraq ... thanks to Bush.

The point is if you read and comphrend the article is that they were they more than a year before the invasion. Not that they arrived after the invasion as the Left would have you believe.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Zarqawi

Yes, he was in Kurdistan. That's well known. In fact, the CIA had a plan to take him out, but was overruled by the Pentagon. We discussed that in another thread. But, as the 9/11 Commission reported, there was no evidence of significant links between Al Qaida and the Saddam Hussein government. Now, if you think the 9/11 Commission is lying, tell me why Republicans would lie about this matter? You're turning really fishing. It's only the conspiracy theorists who believe that Al Qaida and Saddam Hussein had any meaningful relationship. Al Qaida opposed Saddam almost as much as we did, but they opposed him because he was a secular Baathist.

Politically Bush would take most of the heat because he was in office when 9-11 occured and was in power when the commission reported. Better for them to move on.

    One hand washed the other.

They are all Muslims, they all hate America, they are all in bed together, the whole world knows it.

    GET BUSH-GET BUSH-GET BUSH-GET BUSH.

Kerry was going after Saddam, Blubber Vodka Belly Kennedy said "Saddam has to go", the trouble is the Democrat ass holes lost and Bush had to Get Saddam" AND HE DID, why isn't Uncle Teddy thanking him for it?

If John Fonda Kerry had gone after Saddam the army would be full of Liberal Democrats, even "Patches Kennedy" would have signed up.

The 9/11 commission was a flipping joke, what a waste of money, time and effort.

Gen. Tommy Franks yesterday called the story about al-Zarqawi being in "Kurdistan" an outright lie.

So then the standard is one terrorist? If a country has one terrorist in it its ok to invade and conquer said country? I'm just asking because it sounds like y'all are hanging your hats on this one guy now as justification for attacking Iraq.

I wonder, if we had discovered the plot in Canada instead of the Canadians, would our army be marching on Toronto by now?

What the whole world knows, and you are having having trouble with is Tarik Aziz, Saddam's right hand man was Catholic and that Saddam and Bin Laden hated each other.
Even though a vast majority of the population were and are Muslims, Iraq never was an Islamic State like Iran. It was one of the few secular countries in the region. Not any more. Still trying to link Saddam to 9/11 or any other act of International terrorism is simply not credible, the 9/11 Commission with its Republican members, says so and so does the rest of the world that you just mentioned.

There were a couple of Iraqi nationals involved in that attack. There were also some from several other ME countries, Kuwait for example. When are we scheduled to invade them?

Edit: What state was Tim McVeigh from?. I bet its a 'red' one. I kinda like the idea of us doin' our invading closer to home. Saves on gas and whatnot.

You might want to believe that but just the opposite is on what's generally known as the 9/11 Commission Report.
There are no ties between The Saddam government and 9/11 or any other International terrorist act.
The whole world is very much aware of this fact and this is why we are losing allies and credibility every single day.
