Yes, that's a real tattoo and yes, he has one on the other side of his head like he's wearing a helmet. And to top things off, he has the number "12" tattooed on the back of his head near the neck where the number is located on Brady's helmet.

the logos are sweet, and can be covered up by hair in a pinch, but putting a dudes number on yer neck is kinda dumb. pretty sweet though

I would say it would be better to get a tattoo on your head than, say, on your neck. It's alot easier to cover that head one up with about a month's growth of hair...those one on your neck tend to stick out unless you're wearing a scarf or something.

No, not usually, but I'm guessing the ink is still fresh in this pic.

By the way, I don't think going to this extreme makes you any more of a "real" fan.

I'm actually kinda seriously wondering if the NFL would want a kickback in licensing fees for this sort of thing.

The helmet logo looks fine, but like others have said the number was a dumb move. Next thing you know, Brady gets traded or signs on another team and then what.

Why do trolls always assume all Pats fans became fans within the last few years? I'm sure there are more fans now than in years past, but for all you know this guy has been a fan for decades. There are plenty of those fans too.

"Thompson's plan is to get every bit of the helmet down to the smallest detail, including the dot that marks Brady's helmet as having a microphone.

Thompson said he is hoping the Pats win the Super Bowl. If they do, he will get the Lombardi Trophy tattooed on his head, along with the years the team has won it all.

Laroche said Thompson's dedication shows off his love of the team, but he thinks it also makes Thompson feel good about himself.

"If you change the way their appearance is, it boosts their ego and makes them feel better," he said.

Thompson said he's excited to be a walking embodiment of the New England Patriots.

"I feel awesome," he said. "I feel like the Pats now." "

Uhm......I was going to defend him and say that if I was ever going to get a tattoo it would be the Patriots logo but dude....it's your HEAD!

I believe that, legally speaking, an individual work of art is not subject to licensing fees (as long as they are not mass produced). That's why the guy who drew the naked Bobby Orr can do so to his heart's content - including Boston Bruin logos in the background.

    http://www.boston.com/ae/theater_ar...n_artists_vision_an_icon_in_the_flesh/?page=2

Park also wondered how an artist could create a nude of a celebrity without permission. George Tobia Jr., an attorney at Burns & Levinson specializing in entertainment and copyright law, said Kauper could run into trouble were he to try to mass market Orr's image on T-shirts or postcards. But he has every right to paint him.

"There's a First Amendment right to artistic expression," Tobia said.
