I've only one concern. Let me just first say, I think josh is good and will fit back in seamlessly and overall I'm quite happy with him as OC.

However, my concern is will Josh utilize our TE's as well as B'o'B did? Right now, our TE's are our lifeblood and seeing how Josh hasn't really had much use for TE's in the past... I'm a little concerned that Rob and Aaron will be put on the back burner...

Josh is a very smart offensive coordinator. The reason he didn't use many 2 TE sets when he was here is because we didn't have the personnel to do it. The reason BOB uses those 2 TE sets is because we HAVE the personnel to do it. I am fairly convinced that Josh is gonna utilize all our players to their strength. Hopefully Lloyd comes along and our O is gonna even scarier.

When you had Randy Moss on one side,Stallworth and Gaffney on the other and Wes Welker down the slot...WTF would you even need the TEs much other than blocking?

There is no Moss,Gaffney,Stallworth on the team now....of course that means whoever is up next...and that's our TEs,Josh I am sure is not stupid enough to use Underwood in play more than Gronkowski

I think BOB is the person game-planning. I don't believe Josh will be doing much more than tell BOB what he knows of the opponent. To do otherwise would cause confusion.

For the current postseason, I would guess Josh McD will be focused on finding new wrinkles to try. But they only will be tried if BB and BoB fully agree.

Welcome back Josh. Please reintroduce our offense to the screen play and the running game. We're not going to win anything Josh while we continue to be the Colts. Thanks Josh and once again welcome back.

I expect in the post season that Josh will be sitting near Ernie Adams as an extra set of eyes on what is going on.. having the current OC and the future OC on the sidelines could prove to be a tad confusing.

I do not expect a deviation in our offense, just a refinement.. the TE's will still be a huge part.

Do you think Tiquan Underwood and Chad Ochochinco Johnson will suddenly become focal points of the offense????

exactly. Ben Watson was average. Not only that, we weren't a great run team in 2007 because of Maroney. Now he has Ridley and BJGE.

You're right. BOB has completely no idea what he was doing as OC for the Patriots. Such that in both 2010 and 2011, in the last 8 games of the season, the offense averaged over 36ppg.

The commitment to the running & screen plays will come once the team has RBs that can make plays on a consistent basis.

Well Scheffler & Graham both looked good when the Patriots played the Broncos in 09, so if he can get production out of TE's who are nowhere near the same quality as Hernandez & Gronk then I'm confident he will be able to come up with schemes that will incorporate the pair of them.

In 2006 the Patriots had terrible receivers but the tight ends were still not used very much. 2007 onward, the personnel was there at the receiver position.

How dumb would an OC have to be to ignore the likes of a Rob Gronkowski?

    Seriously.

The only way to 'ignore' a TE is to keep him in blocking or consistently make calls that put him in a position to be the 3rd/4th read, etc.

It doesn't take a math scientist to figure out that you should probably try to throw to Rob Gronkowski once in a while. Our TEs aren't going anywhere.

In fact, if anything, Josh will probably bring us a better non-slot WR threat than we have now in Brandon Lloyd which will open up more for the TEs and put tremendous pressure on safeties that we play against.

The offense will continue to evolve.

Consider this: how good would this offense be if it added a deep threat replacing Branch?

And what if Vereen turns into a Darren Sproles type?

    Then what?

What if Ridley becomes a threat?

    Can you guys imagine this:

Brandon Lloyd playing the role of, well, Brandon Lloyd?
Ridley playing the role of Ray Rice?
Vereen playing the role of Darren Sproles?

    It could happen.

I would be happy if next year the Patriots simply keep the offense going as well as Bill O'Brien had the team averaging 35+ points per game this season after Thanksgiving.

+1, hopefully McDaniels knows to sit at the back of the room and keep his mouth shut.

    From an interview with Brandon:

"I can't even lie about that," Lloyd said. "I'm tied to McDaniels. He uses me differently than other offensive coordinators used me in my entire career. He uses me as an every-play receiver. The short game, mid-range game, gimmick passes, deep balls."

"I do everything in this offense as opposed to other coordinators who would just run me off as the deep guy; run me off into double coverage and then say I'm not open. So I really like how Josh uses me within the offense. I'm extremely comfortable in the offense."

That sounds like he is the Santonio-complex..."Its always about me.."

    Not a Patriot-Way mindset. IMO

The way I hear it is that I'm ready and willing to run the complete route tree, the outs, and also the crossing patterns, and the in-cuts too, Not just the deep sideline flys...

    I like what I hear.
