The only one that has "come back" that I know of is Corwin Brown and he didn't last long.. How many former Pats players are there who are actually coaching?

Vrabel is for Ohio St.. But who else?

Coaching is a tough, thankless job.

Ex Pats are living it up on TV.

Mike Vrabel is now LB coach for Houston Texans...

We had Pepper last year, but he moved on to Buffalo...

Jerry Schuplinski and Josh McDaniels' John Carrol University Lobos open against the St Vincent Bearcats on Sept 6...obstructed view tickets still available.
Josh Boyer's Fighting Muskies of Muskingum University open the 2014 campaign against the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets....a pot luck supper on the north endzone grass will be held 30 minutes after the conclusion of the game (weather permitting).
How long can BB keep all this D3 OAC talent to himself before the rest of the league raids this hidden treasure. We got the Case Western special teams coordinator this year....but who knows how long this coaching incubator of new ideas will remain exclusive territory for NE. Rumor has it Pete Carroll is frustrated with his Pac 12 pipeline of coaches and is looking at the rust belt as well.
Is it time to get worried?

Stop listening to felger and mazz, it's not good for your brain. Only reason I know why they were talking about this is I was in an HVAC supply house at the time and they had them on.

    And that is noteworthy because?...

I guess you're taking the thread title literally, but it would be unusual if they only had coaches who had played water polo in college.

Ex-SB era Pats have the world by the male appendages.
    Answer this:
    Would you rather...
    1. Make a few hundred K working 12 + hrs 7 days/week for 9+ months under extreme pressure
    2. Make a few hundred K working a couple hours per week now and then, talking off the top of your head about the profession you love

I know, it's a terrible shame. Not like when we had Weiss and Crennel as coordinators, because it was their NFL playing experience that made them such great coaches.

…and Sam Gash is an assistant in the league somewhere too IIRC.

To the OP's point, I feel that the lack of any NFL or even major college playing experience among
almost the entire coaching staff, and the high-stress, high-profile experience it creates, is one of
the reasons why we haven't won the Big One in almost a decade. Bill seeks wet-behind-the-ears, ThanksDad assistants who have no opinions to offer or are too intimidated to offer what opinions
they do have. They basically just regurgitate the lesson plan to the members of their position group.

It's also no surprise that the Pats have consistently had the smallest coaching staffs in the league.

Just my opinion, but I can't think of an issue that could possibly be more inconsequential than this one.
