Hey, what do y'all right-wingers think of Korea's missles aimed at good ol' America??

Do y'all think George Bush should be impeached for dereliction of duty to protect our country???

With all our military and financial resources ($300 million a day!!) tied to Iraq, America is absolutely impotent to stop the proliferation of WMDs.

Do y'all think George Bush has compromised the secruity of our country?

Thank God for Ronald Reagan's vision of a missile defense system for this nation back in the 80's.

You know.... the program Democrats tried to kill.

Sure made the world a lot safer. :bricks:

Besides, it's a long way from being implemented and there are lots of ways to defeat it, for instance by launching a lot of fake missiles along with the real ones or coating them with materials that don't draw heat-seeking missiles. Even the Pentagon acknowledges these problems.

I remember when I was in South Korea in 1999 when the North Koreans "tested" a missile by firing it over the Penisula into the Sea of Japan.....nothing new.

Same as the other thread, this missle test is OK, the Liberals Friends the Communists are conducting it. (Don't let Bush try it)

How could that have happened with Billy as president. This stuff only happens when a Bush is president.

Who gave them the nuclear technology? If I recall correctly someone in 94 decided to give them nuclear fuel rods for Nuclear energy and they promised that they would only use them for energy purposes. It is amazing some of you lefties forget or overlook important facts that complete the big picture.

Lefties have short, selective memories but that's ok, because the American people aren't stupid.

Lefties will get smoked again this November.

Since your knowledge serves your political interests, not the truth, here's a good link that shows, among other things:

    - North Korea's nuclear program began before Clinton
    - North Korea was developng a lot of the technology and had the natural resources before Clinton
    - During the Clinton administration, America finally started to do something about it, and that's why there was so much news
    - North Korea had already achieved leverage because of its progress with nuclear weapons and energy

Interestingly, Bush faces the same predicament that Clinton did, and is using roughly the same strategy with Iran, but of course you avoid mentioning that. The main difference between Iran and North Korea was that until Bush invaded Iraq, our efforts with Iran were working well, but Karl Rove showed the Iranians how to use fear to exploit voters into electing nutcases.

And, Dean, it's not that the left has short selective memories, it's that we try to base our arguments on more than just what Rush Limbaugh and the like tell us. Remember, your party is anti intellectual, and sometimes it shows.

No, you keep hocking up the same tired old DNC talking points that you hear from Heil Howard Dean, Jean Francois Kerry, Little Chucky Schumer, Err Amerika and the rest of the hate America crowd.

The program never existed. It was simply a ploy against the Soviets. Come on now, we shouldn't be debating imaginary weapons programs.

SDI never got built but the anti missile technology of today is a direct result of Reagan's vision, which the Democrats fought tooth and nail against.

We don't have a missile defense system other than MAD. Patriot missiles failed abyssmally in Gulf I. Personally, I like the idea, but I also like the idea of transporter beams and warp drive engines, but I doubt I'll ever see it.

It's the type of investment you hope to never use. Much like life insurance :)
