Anybody else doing this? No shaving/grow a mustache/grow a beard for the month of November to show solidarity against prostate cancer? I already have mine going full swing. I'm growing a beard and am only shaving my neck area because that part gets too itchy.

I go from goatee to full beard every winter. And back again in the spring. Sort of like day light savings. So unwittingly I am.

Maybe I'll join in -- haven't shaved this week yet anyway. Is this an official awareness campaign? Got a link to share?

    Urban Dictionary's definition:

    3. No Shave November
This is an event to raise awareness, usually for prostate cancer, but for men's health in general. The month of November has been dubbed Movember, and participants are dubbed either Mo Bros or Mo Sistas; Mo being short for Moustache.

To participate, you start off with a clean shave on October 31st, and do not shave your moustache for the entire month of November, and then resume your regularly scheduled shaves on December 1st. While this is generally a men's event, women are welcome to show support as well, via other means.

I am trying it. I shave my neck as well, because it looks like crap if I dont. Whether or not I last beyond the 6-7 day itchy period remains to be seen.

I'm fully into the itchy period, but it's lasted three days now so it's only going to be another couple before it goes away. I already have a full beard, which I'm happy about because it was looking ratty a couple of days ago. By the 30th I should look like a lumberjack.
