No mention anywhere of Seattle going for it on 4th down with 2 minutes to go

If this was the Patriots the victory wouldn't be the headline, rather the arrogance of BB to go for it on 4th and 1 with about 2 mins to go in a game where his team is winning comfortably.

Also on a side note I am not sure which is worse- Media praising the Seachickens all day or Media's worship of Peyton

Seahawks sending a message to the league is the more likely scenario. But yes the Pats will always catch slack for that type of activity, I can live with the Seahawks praise, I give them a ton for putting an all world beating on the Donks.

Media worship of Rodgers who made some bad plays in critical moments.

it was more egregious last year when Peyton was out there with his team up 20points throwing on 3rd and goal in the 4th quarter but there was NO mention of him "running up the score" just the "greatness of peyton"

I'm beginning to dislike the Seahawks. It seems they are pounding their chest more these days.
Maybe the Sherman attitude is contagious.:(

Agreed, Lets see if Seattle's brilliance can take some Sportscentre minutes away from Peyton's Worship

Let's put things in perspective here : the Seahawks were at the Packers' 15 yards line. They could either go for it or kick the field goal. Kicking the field goal would have been running up the score...

Either way, they were ''only'' leading by 13 at that time. That's only 2 scores, it's not like Peyton last year against the Ravens, still throwing in the 4th quarter to get his 7th TD pass, even though the Broncos were leading by 18 at the start of the 4th quarter.

The biggest difference between the two? The Seahawks are being continually praised after a dominating Super Bowl CHAMPIONSHIP. Peyton gets praised even in his failures.

Good Lord, people, get over it.
Definitely. Not to mention the offense gets paid to score and the defense gets paid to stop the offense from scoring. I mean why do people think the first amendment is actually the right to complain?

Seattle is still good in my book for the biblical beatdown they laid on Seyton in the Super Bowl. They're not as likeable as the Saints that beat him a few years back, but they're still playing with house money in my casino.

Yeah, the Patriots have a double standard, so what? Only teams that matter have such double standards. It's a "problem" I can live with.

So are we going to have one of these whiney, little threads every time a team does this?

They were up 13. Two scores. A field goal would have put them up 16, still two scores (plus conversions).

In that situation you go for it because a 1st down ends the game and no two score miracles are possible. If in getting the first down you score a touchdown, all the better.

Intelligent fans would not question this tactic, whatever the team was that did it.

You are right though, in that unintelligent Patriots-hating morons would have bashed that decision, if it had been the Patriots and not the Seahawks doing it.

I have decided, though, that it is a waste of time trying to refute unintelligent Patriots-hating morons. They won't change their opinion, and my blood pressure just rises. Ain't worth the effort...

One of the worse QBs trailing in the 4th by the stats. Gimme Brady and Brees over him anyday.

Seattle looked good, but Green Bay looked crappy......

Not ready to judge a season on one game....

It's stupid when people complain about the Pats running up the score, and it would have been equally stupid to complain about this. Crazier things have happened than an Aaron Rodgers-led offense scoring twice in two minutes.

Like a butt fumble for a TD ?? :D

Good Lord, people, get over it.

So... what is this SB39, the 50th time youve come into a thread to scold other posters for being too thin-skinned?

I think you crossed the hypocrisy threshhold about 30 thin-skinned admonishments ago..

I don't keep count.

Your complaint might have a bit more validity were it not for the fact that several others in here have issued identical scoldings of their own most more harsh than mine. So I'm hardly a minority of one in this case.
