    Under investigation?

    UNDER FU(%ING INVESTIGATION?

This coward needs to be body-slammed face first into a sidewalk and thrown in jail for 10 years!

It's cowards like this that do really well in prison. General population for 1 year. Bubba got somethin' special waitin'for this prick in jail.

I'm so freaking mad after seeing that. Wouldn't you just kill for 10 minutes in a room with this piece of sh!t?

...And what about the sick-azz mother going to get the belt for the coward!

Texas sucks beyond belief! Cue the "parental rights" contingent. Three...two...one...

Sorry to be crude, but to borrow a line from Office Space, this is the type of guy you'd want to send to a "Federal Pound Me In The Ass" prison.

William Adams is a POS and will most probably get reelected.

I think the bigger picture is should judges be elected or appointed?

Have thought about this a few times, not sure where I stand. The way campaigns are financed now, leaning towards appointed.

This guy will blame his daughter for what happens as she taped this stuff..

You would have a point if he was doing this in his capacity as a judge and not as a father.

As a father he beats his daughter. What does he do as a judge?

I think Brandon was referencing the Taliban comment, since the Taliban is in power. i.e., that there's a differencee b/t bad acts by government and bad acts by individuals who happen to be in the government.

    I'll play devil's advocate.

Had a few of those belt whippings myself as a kid. Still never felt my father was abusive and certainly never would have wanted him to go to prison for it. IDK, maybe that was just a different time.

    Did you watch the video?

This isn't garden variety corporeal punishment. Especially not for a 16-year-old suffering from ataxic cerebral palsy.

I did see it and it didn't seem too much different then the couple I got as a kid. I was probably 8-9 at that time. There were probably others, but I don't remember them as they weren't too frequent. In the end there was a lot of noise and stinging but there was never any bruising or injury.

I don't know enough about cerebral palsy to understand how much more/less traumatic it is. It wasn't apparent from the video, that I could tell, that she had a handicap.

All that being said, I think if this were a frequent thing then I would change my opinion. I just think people need to just be careful about going over the top the other way for what, I believe at least, was a fairly common form of punishment once upon a time.

I had a few, too. I assumed that's just how it was; I now view it as borderline abusive and simply horrible parenting -- not prison-worthy, though.

You really have no idea of what it's like to be a battered or mentally abused woman, do you?

    "Borderline?"

    Really?

A grown man, probably twice the size of a young girl, with a belt and belt buckle in his hand, grabbing her, throwing her down and beating on her repeatedly?

    That's borderline abusive?

I gotta ask - what would it take to be considered full-on abusive behaviour?

Not being a women no, but she has the responsibility to protect her daughter.. not take part in the abuse.

She not only took part, but allowed it to happen.. she has responsibility in this matter as well.
