I think our nickel and dime packages need to learn to play the run better.

I also saw Mankins get deliberately kicked by a colt when he was down.
Logan tried to appeal but the ref didn't see it.
Logan was a beast in this game, too.

They alos showed the hand shake with audio.
Seemed like Dungy was trying to be cool but BB was
just being BB. I'll shake hands but I don't want to talk.
Dungy DID have a pleasant talk with Seymour.
Told him he had a heart of a champion...and all that.
Richard told him he had a lot of respect for him.
I think Dungy's trying to throw Richard a hint or something.

BB said "great game" twice. dungy was asked about it yesterday and he said "bill is a good guy.He is always the same win or lose. He is very intense. He has given us a lot of compliments when we won".

    Disable Jersey

BB gave Dungy a long embrace and a long dialog (for BB) when Dungy won the AFCCG, a lot tougher loss for Bill than any possible outcome of last Sunday's game.

On that run after the short reception by Addai, that was definitely a clip by Colts wide receiver Morehead. Simply pathetic the number of calls missed by that officiating crew that should have gone in the Patriots favor.

I didn't see it as a clip, I think he tried to clip him and kind of missed. The big break Indy got was when Harrison ran over a teammate (ala TBuck). All in all some pretty poor tackling throughout the first half.

Saw this on NFL.com, 17 min summary of the game, enjoy.

It may have been but I can see why it wasn't called. I watched the play at least 10 times and I was looking for the clip. There were bodies all over the place and Moorehead comes into the picture and skims off a tackler, hard to tell from the views I saw.

How about the whole game except for the 4th quarter.Look at Addai's rushing totals.
Pats were expecting a lot of passing.
So they had at least the nickel for the game.
Colts did the same thing except I think they were mostly dime.
Colts took better advantage but the Pats were at least sufficient when they ran, for the most part they got the yardage needed for 3rd down conversions.

    OOHHHH!:p Sorry about that.
He was kicked in the 3rd quarter I think with about 6:49 left.
    It was quite blatant, too.

While there were some missed tackles and they didn't seal the edge on a couple of early runs, as BB said the game plan and the coaching bore some responsibility in that regard early on and then adjustments were made. Much like the Dallas game where 1 play somewhat skewered perception (albeit while only gaining 2 yards following Barber's scamper around the EZ) I think the Addai catch and run tends to skewer perception in this game too. It was a brilliant performance by Addai, who is also paid to play. Otherwise they held him to I think 113 yards on the ground (after which he was gassed in the 4th quarter) which was probably within the parameters of the game plan which was to shut Manning and his WR down. They limited Wayne (absent two PI calls) and fairly shut down Clark. And they were certainly stout in the red zone with one exception.

And when you have the capacity to score points and you win the turnover battle vs. Manning and hold the Colts to 20 in their dome with that kind of officiating, I think you had a pretty damn good day. For three quarters of the game the offense struggled more against their D than our D did against their O enabling the Colts to dominate TOP while only managing to build a 6-10 point lead. And that is a lead that should never be insurmountable with this offense, as in the end it proved not to be.

There has been lots of talk already about the rematch when the Colts have Marvin and Ugoh back and two more LB to rotate. But lots of things can change between now and then as both teams have a couple of tough (as in hard hitting) matchups remaining on their schedules. And if Pittsburgh emerges as the best of the rest there is even the possibility that these two teams don't get to a rematch since Indy would likely have to deal with them first - and we know how that went last time. Unfortunately we won't get Morris back to bolster our ground game, but there is no guarantee they will have Harrison back after several more games have passed and if they do he will never be a 100% Harrison again anyway.

I also think that while the Colts will have to play harder for 60 minutes, we will rather have to play smarter and execute better early on. And having seen their best effort D through three quarters of a regular season game, I think we will be in a position to. Particularly at home where we won't be going off a silent count which allowed the Colts DL to really get a good jump at the snap, and Tommy can use snap count and cadance to disrupt their burst and with any luck we will have OC to QB communication beyond sign language. And meanwhile Manning will be limited in his audibilizing ability by a likely frigid but well lubricated and loud 12th man.

Anyone else find it funny that the NFL decided to edit out a couple plays from the replay, namely:

    -Moss offensive PA call
    -The 'CBS sound error'

Yeah, I noticed the cut out the Moss O-interfernce and they did so w/o displaying the "after NE penalty" box they show when skipping a play, simply can't be a coincidence.

Plus Mike P's explanation of the Hobbs PI penalty was not one of emphatic support. He justifies the call by ASKING viewers whether Hobbs was turned around before Hobbs made contact with Wayne. Mike P (head of NFL officials) answers his own question by saying, "I don't think so." Huh?

Before he ran the clip of the play Mike P had implied that the call was a "classic" case of cutting off a receiver's route illegally; then he shows the play and gives the limp wrist endorsement above. Even allowing for the fact that fallible human judgement is required on any penalty call, this was the weakest validation of one of his refs I've ever seen.

I was pretty sure it was the 3rd quarter with 6:49 left.
It could have been the 4th I guess but it was definitely the second half.:D
