Senescal2,

What is the measure of value? Is it a player who is difficult and rare to obtain? Or is it the pure athlete?

The point I was making is that for this team at this time, the weakest depth position is LB. The are no reserves except some scrubs today, and scrubs tomorrow, who are ST players and that is all. The only thing Eric and Corey can aspire to is taking Izzo 's job.

Meanwhile you worry about our 7th or 8th Safety and our fourth or fifth CB, or our fifth WR and why?

Because you COULD have little any depth in 2008 or 2009?. You ought to worry about one of these scrubs LBs coming in to take snaps if any of the big four go down, at a position that suffers injuries in 2006. The Pats have Rodney's replacement twice over on the roster now. Asante would be cheaper to sign longterm than they are paying him in franchise money. Wilson can be paid and he has a replacement available too.

THERE ARE NO REPLACEMENTs, for any starting LB !
