Re: Free Agent Tracker

But happy to give an average punter almost $20 million!

If you're talking about Michael Koenen, he's more than an average punter. He is also a long distance field goal kicker and he can do kick-offs and do them as good as any other kicker in the league. As noted by his 67.6 YPK.

They also gave a good deal of money to Davin Joseph and Jeremy Trueblood. Their two veteran O-linemen..

Plax to the Jets
Michael Huff re-signed with the Raiders.

Jared Gaither did NOT sign with the Raiders as originally reported.
Stephen Tulloch to the Lions

Vonta Leach signed with the Ravens

Amobi Okoye to the Bears. Still only 24.

At least the Jets didn't get him.

Speaking of which, I'm curious how much Cromartie is asking for. Much like Holmes, him and his agent can really hold them to the fire. There are other corners out there, but with Nate Clements signing, it's a large downgrade from Cro to the next guy. There's also Asante but the Eagles will have a steep price.

Cro is also the type of guy that I don't think they'd prefer to have for the long-term. I bet they'd rather have him on a deal in which they aren't committed to him financially. Plus, I bet after Cromartie gets his money that he lets up (just a guess). With his leverage he could demand a long-term deal or threaten to go to a team that's more willing.

If true then Heap met with Ryan earlier, and it didn't go as planned for the Jets.

Rex Ryan meets Todd Heap at Newark airport, veteran tight end to visit with Jets Sunday | New York Daily News

Guess who might be taking a page out of the Patriots' two tight-end playbook?

With so much focus on which wide receiver the Jets will pursue in free agency, perhaps Gang Green will follow Bill Belichick's offensive blueprint from last season. The Daily News has learned that two-time Pro Bowl tight end Todd Heap is in town to visit the Jets facility in Florham Park Sunday.

The 6-5, 247-pound Heap was cut by the Ravens last week as part of several salary cap-saving moves. Heap played for the Ravens for eight seasons while Rex Ryan was on the Baltimore coaching staff.

Ryan rolled out the red carpet for the veteran tight end by picking him up at Newark Liberty International Airport Saturday night. Ryan grabbed Heap in a bear hug before driving off in a SUV.

The News has learned that the Jets haven't made an offer to the veteran tight end yet. A deal wasn't imminent as of Saturday night.

James Jones stays with the Pack

Nick Barnett to the Bills.

Dolphins visited by Shaun O'Hara but nothing concrete... yet.

Daniel Graham to the Titans on a 3 year deal

Justin Blalock back with Falcons.

Chris Spencer (C) to Bears who will not be resigning Olin Kreutz.

Mark Brunnell back with Jets for one more year

Cedric Benson resigns with Bengals 1 yr deal

John Kuhn resigns with Packers
