According to Brian Baldinger:

5. Haloti Ngata
4. Drew Brees
3. Chris Johnson
2. Peyton Manning
1. Darrelle Revis

I just saw it, no link. Thoughts?

I can already tell that this is going to be a popular thread. :bricks:

Put Jenkins over Nagata and I agree.

Seyton "choke artist" Manning shouldn't be on the list.

I agree...great players make great plays when it matters.

How wes welker isnt on that list is beyond me.

Probably because Brian Baldinger made the list?

I think you probably know our thoughts.

Wes Welker isn't even a top 5 wide receiver.

Moss
Johnson
Fitzgerald
Marshall
V. Jackson

Yes. Tom Brady is the best player in the league. Having anyone else there makes the list even more useless than such lists usually are.

Those are the best players in the NFL? Okay I guess iwth Brees, Johnson and Manning. Ngata is good at NT, but one of the five best in the league? I don't think so. Revis has had one fine year, but it was one year. Maybe wait until next year to see if he can keep it up or slip back to 2007-8 (very good but not one of the top 5)

Do you really believe that though?

Yes. But, then again, I'm a thinking man. He's won 3 Super Bowls and been to 4 of them. His last full and healthy season was the greatest season in NFL QB history, and last year, Brady was coming off of ACL/MCL surgery, and a post-op infection, yet was still top 10 in

QB rating
Yards
completion %
TDs
Passing yards/game
INT %
TD %
Sack%

Yeah.... I really believe that.

Needs more Richie Incognito to be taken seriously.

Marshall? On some TV show, it was mentined that FLorio picked the Dolphins to win the AFCE, based on the fact that they acquired Marshall. What is it with that love? If Marshall can take the 7-9 Dolphins and make them better than the Pats and Jets, then why wasn't Denver a division winner with him? When he shows me he can elevate a team, I will believe he can elevate a team. Until then he is Chad "Ochenta y Cinco" Johnson 2.0, great stats, unbeliebably exciting BSPN highlights, meh help to the team.

Jackson's never seen the day that he was better than either of the Johnson boys.

Moss
C. Johnson
A. Johnson
Fitzgerald

After those 4 come the arguables.

Baldinger has a Tory Holt pinkie.

How wes welker isnt on that list is beyond me.

If the Patriots didn't have the closest thing to a Wes Welker clone in Julian Edelman—and the Pats O, as a result, completely fell apart in the weeks Welker was out—he might well have.

Do you really believe that though?

Why you don't is beyond me. Like I said, Baldinger made this list. Look no further than that.

And I think that I should say that I think Revis is the best CB in the league as of right now. He changes the way the Jets defense plays. But he's certainly not the #1 player in the league. That's just ridiculous. I think most non-Pats/Dolphins/Bills fans will tell you that too.

Drew Brees shouldn't be on that list IMO. If Brady can't be then Brees can't be.
