I'm flipping channels and I see....this....wow. Two disparate worlds collide. Just seeing Rivers sit next to two brothers in full monk wardrobe...mind-blowing.

I want to see the priest call him out for his bratty outbursts where he's thrown the ball, kicked it, and then shouted at his OC. Not yet though.

Just talking about chastity and stuff.

he's not the only religious QB in the NFL. Rodgers and Brees are highly religious people as well.

Disparate worlds? He's Catholic. How is it shocking that a Catholic celebrity is on a Catholic network? That's about as shocking as sports celebrities on ESPN, entertainment starts on E!, and famous chefs on the Food Network.

I didn't realize that Catholic people are not allow to shout at other people...

    Worst thread ever.

    Meh.

I think we tend to dislike him simply because he's the face of a conference rival, and therefore find reasons to justify not liking him. If he wore our laundry I'm guessing 90% of us that dislike would stand up for his competitive fire.

Seeing him compete at a high level despite a blown out knee in the playoffs makes him okay in my book - especially in comparison to the effort put forth by his then-teammate running back, sulking on the bench behind his dark visor.

    hardly news worthy

him and tebow are probably the 2 most spiritual qbs in the nfl, probably in all of sport

but they have a fiery competitivness like brady as well

    so it's all good , unless you're a hater :D

some fans are uneducated to what goes on in the rest of the nfl, because they shelter themselves to only their own team's news, which makes them very shallow, and their opinions less credible, because usually they don't see other perspectives but their own.

there's so many damn hypocrites in every fanbase....it's sickening.

honestly, i had to defend eli manning on the chargers board simply because it was implied he was a bad teammate, even though his own teammates in ny say he's a great teammate, great lockerroom guy, and a good person

they were saying he was a bad teammate simply because he made one dick move back leading up to the 2004 draft.....

they were even saying he didn't have a good superbowl......

which is BS, the dude had solid stats that playoff and that sb, and he also went 11 for 14 on 3rd downs in that superbowl

I hate eli, but credit deserves to be given where and when it is due.

    Disable Jersey

    Papist lover! :)

I hated the guy until I thought about his gutsy play with serious leg injury, the antithethis of Lady T.

When someone complained to Abraham Lincoln that Gen. Ulysses S. Grant drank too much whiskey, his response (paraphrased) was "Well, tell me the name of the brand so I can send a bottle to all of my generals."

That's kind of how I feel about this.

Whatever helps a guy get ready and do his best is fine with me, be it whiskey (probably not in the NFL :) ) or religion or anything else (legal).
