This is a list of investigations in the NFL that i am waiting for. They haven't happened yet, but should:

1.) Carolina Panthers roid monkey Defense against the Pats in the Superbowl.

2.) The piped in noise in the RCA Dome.

3.) The biased officiating in important Colts home games.

4.) The Jets taping the Pats without permission, and lying about it.

if you can think of any to add, go ahead.

Jimmy Johnson admitting the Dolphins knew how to bypass the 15 second cutoff of the Coach-to-Quarterback Communication System.

Nevermind, I like Jimmy Johnson. They don't need to investigate that. :)

Excellent addition. I have never ever seen a coach happy that a divisional rival made it to the playoffs.

The fans and network paid good money to attend and broadcast that pathetic excuse for a football game.

    The Colts should be ashamed.

    yeah that was disgusting.

Kerry Collins ( i think it was him ) even admitted to it afterwards.

    how can they ignore that?

Jeez, if i didn't love this sport so much, i would have stopped watching already.

Everyone at the game should ask for a refund and sue the Colts.

Actually, I want to sue them. I actually spent 3 hours watching that scripted nonsense.

    Seriously.
We keep hearing about "The integrity of the game".
If this is not a clear example of jeopardizing the integrity of the game, than I don't know what is.

You know exactly what i mean. And although i appreciate you being difficult (since i am most of the time), i think you can contribute to this thread a lot better than that.

I'm still waiting for the investigation following this 1967 article that documents NFL Spying practices from 1955 and on.

    http://www.thesportgallery.com/sport-stories/1967aug-nflspy.html

Signal stealing, filming of walk throughs, trying to hide injured players...

By ignoring this and all the other instances that have been reported above, Goodell, Specter and everyone else are making it perfectly clear they have no problem with OTHER teams cheating - its simply a witch hunt aimed at the Patriots

I am insinuating they get calls in every game.

I do appreciate you believing in me and raising the bar of expectations. I will work hard to achieve that standard. Very Belichickian.

How 'bout the Jets' filming in the SAME game that the Pats got caught?
That was like an "Emmily Latella" moment for some. It really gets me how those pics were going all over the net.

"See, here's proof that the Pats were filming..........what's that? That's a Jets
    camera man?.....oh...Never mind."

He's obviously breaking the same rule. There's clearly pictures of it.
And nobody cares. What's up with that?

Notice it's the team doctor from the early mid 2000's, not the one from the 70s. This might explain why Joey Porter was such an ass.

This one is the worst of all of them. I will give respect to the Rams guy doing it, though...at least he knows how to keep his mouth shut.

How about NBC allowing us to hear EVERY WORD Brady said in the Eagles Sunday Night game this year? If any Eagles assistant was watching the broadcast, they could have figured out all the audible calls for the second half of the game.

Here are things I have been waiting gofor decades for the league to investigate:

1.) Dan Marino buying $390k worth of stock from one of Wayne Huezinga's other companies at a low employees only rate that ballooned to $2 million in value in a very short period of time. At the time, there were speculations that this was a way to cheat the cap. The investigation never went anywhere.

2.) Deion Sanders getting deals from Sega and Nike that were supposably only valid if he signed with the 49ers.

Both of those a clear and deliberate acts of cheating the salary cap and gaining a competitive advantage if true. The league swept both instances under the rug and the media quickly forgot about them.

    GENTLEMEN, START YOUR TAMPERING

In two days, scouts and coaches will descend on Indianapolis for the annual Scouting Combine.

Also attending a portion of the multi-day event will be plenty of agents, who'll be present for among other things a mandatory NFLPA meeting on Friday.

And with scouts and coaches and agents in the same city only a week or so before the start of free agency, anyone who thinks that there won't be advance discussions about guys who might soon be on the market but who are still technically the exclusive property of one and only one team is stupid or naive or both.

It's the NFL's dirty little offseason secret. Most if not all teams tamper with players poised to become free agents. Some teams who used to not do it started to do it because they concluded that they were at a competitive disadvantage, because everyone but them was doing it.

But discretion is still preferred. Eventually, someone will be sufficiently brazen to get caught, and the league will make an example of that team in an effort to get other teams to dial it in a bit.

Though today's example isn't nearly enough to get a team nailed, it's proof of the nonchalance that now prevails in matters of this nature.

Saints linebacker Mark Simoneau is among this year's free-agent crop. And the Dolphins are one of the teams believed to be interested in him.

Apparently, the guy who currently belongs to the Saints will be testing the market early, via his agent. From Friday's Miami Herald: "Simoneau's agent William Vann McElroy said he had a meeting scheduled with Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland at next week's NFL Scouting Combine, but he doesn't know which specific players will be discussed."

Um, Vann? The only players that should be discussed are clients of yours who currently play for the Dolphins. Or who currently are unattached. Or who will be eligible for the draft. Discussion regarding any other players constitutes tampering by the Fins.

Again, this isn't a smoking gun. But it's a glimpse at the attitude that pervades the league as the Scouting Combine approaches.

There will be tampering, and nothing will be done about it.

I'm still waiting for an investigation on how Asante Samuel was guilty of PI with 1.5 minutes to go in the half in a (up to then) shut out playoff game against Denver.

I'm still waiting for an asterisk after all Denver SB wins due to circumvention of the salary cap.

    Other NFL Teams that "Cheat"

Knowing now that breaking NFL rules is viewed as "cheating" by the fans and the media, I thought it might be interesting to have a thread that focused on other "cheating" teams.

Feel free to add on in terms of teams and instances...

Off the top of my head here's a few:

Dolphins - apparently fond of taping QB's audible signals (raising questions as to how far back they had been engaging in such practice, tainting their Super Bowl ;) )

Bears - well known cheaters back to 1955, filming other teams walk throughs and other espionage

Chiefs - known as the Bears of the AFC for their cheating and spy tactics

Raiders - where to start, where to end? Give Al Davis credit though for admitting the extent of cheating in the NFL.

Broncos - won their Super Bowls by ignoring the Salary cap

49ers - accused of tampering by the Bears

Jets - illegally filming the Patriots without permission

Those are just a few off the top of my head... any others?
