    #12 Jersey

Brady has thrown more INT's than Jake Delhomme. My God, color me shocked.

:D In other news, Lindsey Soto on NFL Network discussing the best team in the AFC with Jim Mora the younger asked him if being the only team in the AFC with 8 wins made them the best? I love it when NE is flying under the radar. :rocker:

Delhomme probably would have caught him, if he'd remained healthy this season. Carson Palmer's making a move, too.

Yesterday was a very bad day for the manningfaces. They appeared numerous times.

That must be an NFL record. Six int's thrown by a family on one day?

They threw a combined 8 interceptions on November 11th, 2007.

6 of them were by Peyton.

Peyton always seems to put up bigger numbers than his brother, after all. [IMG]

I recall that one Carolina fan used to have a posting sig saying something like "somewhere right now Jake Delhomme is being intercepted" :D

Since some QB's attempt more passes than other QB's, it's also interesting to look at the "Career Passes Intercepted % Leaders."

Brady is number four (on this list "Low Number" = "Good"), with only 2.3% of his passes intercepted. Peyton is at #22 with 2.7% intercepted. Eli is tied with Favre and Roethlisberger at #55, with 3.3% intercepted.

Joe had 2.6% of his passes picked. Marino and Aikman both had 3%.

Suggests that a QB's style has something to do with the picks he throws.

A more meaningful stat would be int's per game. You would not think that Brady is too high on that list but occasionally (when he is injured or his mechanics are wacked) he has dreadful 3-int games.

    #11 Jersey

One of the things that I love about Tom is that he rarely throws interceptions. He only has 4 on the season and I can see him ending with under 6, which would beat his 2007 season for least INTs thrown which was 8.

And for all the grief that Matt Cassel takes from demented/deluded Chiefs fans, he's only at 2.5%.

I was surprised to see Testaverde so high on the list. I didn't know he played so much.

Also, Brett Favre has the INT record like Jerry Rice has the yardage record. I knew it was alot but I didn't think THAT many. Wasn't it not too long ago Favre threw 300 INTs?

Here are five elite quarterbacks: Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, Joe Montana, Steve Young.

What do they all have in common? (Answer below)
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
(Answer: They are the only quarterbacks in NFL history who have thrown at least 200 TD passes, with a career completion percentage of 60.0% or greater, and a career interception percentage below 3.0%. Data from PFR.)

ETA: And of course, the only quarterback in NFL history with at least 200 TD passes, at least a 60.0% completion percentage, and a career interception percentage under 2.5% is TFB.

    Pretty impressive considering
    #19 Terry Bradshaw 4 rings
    #60 Joe Montana 4 rings
One more ring and Brady might be considered the best.
