I'm trying to keep up with some of the new threads by coming up with some of my own, but I'm struggling. There's a real lack of imagination in coming up with preposterous threads masquerading as plausible dilemmas. I tried this first: Should the Patriots Hire Tedy Bruschi as Defensive Coordinator? Then I thought that no one would believe the premise--anyone would rather work at ESPN than for the Patriots. Then I tried again: Should we try Rob Gronkowski at left tackle and move Matt Light to Conolly's position? The I recalled something that Bruce Armstrong once said: "Once a tackle, always a tackle." Finally, my last shot: Gostkowski is pretty fast and athletic. I wonder if he can play on the punt team? How do the other posters do it? They manage to give you a plausibly-preposterous argument. I can't do it. I think I'll just stick to threads that are like this: OT: The Patriots Linebackers Need to Improve Coverage in the Middle of the Field.
