i wouldn't call it an embarrassing loss

jets were the wildcard #6 seed, pitt was the #2 seed, in pitt, and jets only lost by 5 points

now being the 1 seed and losing, that is embarrassing (and i know full well how embarrassing it is)

Makes no sense why the Jets traded a 2nd rounder for a 1 year Cromartie rental, there's no way they can afford to keep him with all the other free agency issues they're facing (Edwards, Holmes, Ellis, Harris, just to name a few). This is the off season where all of Tannenbaum's "draft picks for disgrunted soon to be free agent" trades bite him in the a**.

Spend a little time on Google and you'll find that Incarcerated Bob assured everyone that:

-Albert Haynesworth was about to be traded (several times)
-Michael Vick was going to be traded (early in the season)
-the Jets would cut receiver Braylon Edwards
-the Jets would sign Adelius Thomas
-the Panthers would trade Steve Smith before the trade deadline
-Carmelo Anthony trade to Nets was a done deal
-Lebron James would pick the Knicks in "The Decision"

I wouldn't trust Incarcerated Bob to be able to predict the weather 5 minutes in advance.

The dumb and dumber part came in when the Jets got to the divisional round of the playoffs, when the pick went from a 3rd to a 2nd. If you're the Jets GM, and talking all off-season about how the Jets are going to the SB, why do you make that kind of conditional trade? Almost sounds like he didn't really believe his own BS.

I would too, but NE just signed Bodden to a nice deal and Mcourty will need more $ if he keeps improving, and I believe he will do just that.
