    From GEORGE PASCOE-WATSON
    Political Editor, at Camp David
    July 30, 2007

GORDON Brown last night praised George Bush for leading the global war on terror — saying the world owed America a huge debt.

The Prime Minister vowed to take Winston Churchill’s lead and make Britain’s ties with America even stronger.

Mr Brown stunned critics by THANKING President Bush for the fight against Islamic extremism, and insisted the UK-US relationship will be his No1 foreign policy priority.

He said on his first visit to the President’s US retreat at Camp David: “Winston Churchill spoke of the ‘joint inheritance’ of our two countries.”

The PM said that meant “a joint inheritance not just of shared history but shared values founded on a shared destiny”.

Well, that does it for me! I've been wrong all along! If the great Gordon Brown says so, then....

Hey, you should adore Gordon Brown!! He's the Prime Minister of the UK now and new leader of the Labour Party, equivalent to the Democrat Party in America.

Well you'd hardly expect the new leader of one of our biggest allies to come out and speak his mind about our President. It's called diplomacy, I wish we'd use it ourselves once in a while.

CAMP DAVID, Md. (AP) -- President Bush and British Prime Minister Gordon Brown are expected to hold a news conference after today's meeting at Camp David. Brown has said he would use his visit to strengthen what Britain considers its "most important bilateral relationship."

With little relationship of their own yet, Bush and Brown point instead to how much their nations have in common.

The alliance of the United States and Britain, though, has long been shaped by personalities - Roosevelt and Churchill, Reagan and Thatcher, Bush and Blair. Now Bush and Brown will find out how much they can do in a short time.

Brown arrived Sunday at Camp David, the presidential mountain retreat 70 miles north of Washington. It was their first official sit-down, although they have met before.

OK, the "American Wife Swapper in Hollywood" line is absolutely hilarious.

Well I guess that proves that, no need for any further discussion.. three similar quotes on the same topic.. no need for discussion.. maybe they will have some time to talk about the perverts that believe in arranged marriages..
I am sure they will agree on that also, so they will be right once again..

and you're, well... kinda scary ...

anyhoo, the British peoples' disfavor with Iraq was what made Tony step down... if Gordo doesn't want the same fate, he'll not make the same mistakes...

this is all just lip service... the Brits' withdrawal from southern Iraq is all the evidence anyone needs to know...

He might be, but how are all those prearranged marriages working out for you?? Are you gleeful in your efforts to pick up some lithuanian teenage girls to get them married off to Uni's??

Marriage is very well; GREAT, in fact. Found the best person in the world for me.

    How's your marriage ??

The thing is, GJA, what happens is Unis marry other Unis. And, we don't discriminate: we witness to both men and women.

Why, are you interested?? Gotta warn you, we have some few but rather strict rules: no sex or romance outside of marriage; no divorce; and treat all people as sons and daughters of God.

    God up!

Anyway, Brown's a liberal Democrat type; it shows in his demeanor. But he knows which side of the bread the butter is, and that's all we need to know.

Besides, Margaret Thatcher is still breathing, and while it is so, she'd have his scalp in a second if he got all mushy at the knees.

Once again, governments are being forced to do the "media dance" in front of the cameras, while their real feelings on things have to be hidden. My gut says Brown would no sooner pull out of Iraq arbitrarily and turn the country over to suicide bombers than he would pull all his teeth out at one sitting.
