Nebraska 'safe haven' law for kids has unintended results - USATODAY.com

Has anyone been following this? Apparently Nebraska passed a safe Haven law to drop off unwanted children (I law that I think all of us would agree with), but they did not include the words "infant" or put any other age restrictions, and parents of unruly and bipolar teenagers have been dropping thier kids off.

I can hear my old man know, keep it up, and I'll be dropping you off on my way to work, how's living in a group home sound, buddy!!!

    Insult....insult...Insult....insult...Insult....insult...

lol...that sounds like something my father would have said back in the day.

But his favorite used to be "That's life in the big city!"

We never even lived in a city?:p

If the family relationship is that strained that any parent actually would decide they no longer want their teenager, it is probably for the best that the child not be raised by his/her parents.

Although every parent at times says they want to get rid of their unruly teen if it is so bad that they would actually do it, they really shouldn't be a parent.

My cousins took their grandmother for a Sunday ride one time. The grandmother sat in the back seat enjoying the view until they pulled over to the curb next to a nursing home, whereupon, the 'children' turned around to their grandmother and shouted, SURPRISE!
She didn't think it was funny.
