Is it me or did our line make a huge jump from last year to this year? It seems like every pass there is a Charger either hitting or about to hit Brady. Our average wideouts last year yet San Diego blitz us every play it seems as they had no respect for our pass catchers.

I don't know if it's just about the line.
credit san diego w/being great at bringing pressure -- they were even more aggressive last year than this year.
but I think a big part of beating pressure is just being able to get rid of the ball.
just imagine welker in that game, and the next one --- I think we'd have won the superbowl.

direct snap to Faulk for 2 points ...

For all the hate on Caldwell on this forum, he had a couple key catches in this game.

Simms: "Tony Dungy said you don't have to worry about crowd noise on the road."

Yeah but how did he go out of bounds on that catch. That should have been 6.

LT Pouting Alert!! Coming up in about 10 mins!!!

It's easier for five lineman to block 5 rushers.
When they were blocking nine all game, it got tedious.

Absolutely one of my favorite games of the Belichick era - winning "ugly" I suppose...on the road, to a 14-2 opponent, 12 pro-bowlers, LT the MVP, etc, etc.

The last time Brady & Co. were "underdogs".

Experience, preparation, determination & discipline trumped raw talent...and (the best part) you know it CRUSHED everyone associated with the Chargers...I wonder how much of that is still in their heads as they prepare this week???
