Well shows who the networks are rooting for..

OT, but how about miami. They are 1 hail mary pass by favre from being 3-1 on the year. Not bad at all.
San Diego just isn't very good this year. LT looks alot like Maroney. he seems afraid of contact, and just bounces to the line and goes down. Their defense is really hurting as well. Still, I'm sure they will come after Cassell early and often on Sunday.

Can't say I blame them. The Pats attract audiences, mostly people pulling against them. NBC is just catering to the majority of the audience.
This is the correct answer.
Some of you all take this stuff too personally.

Sounds like they're doing their job by playing up the grudge angle, which is the natural choice -- I can't imagine a tag line of "No Brady, No Merriman and No Ratings" would have been brought the crowds in.
Poor NBC. No Brady and the Chargers suck. They probably wish they could flex this game.
Really? What game next week is likely to generate more viewership? I don't really see any marquee games on the schedule, I'd say they're still glad they have this one.
Certainly this game won't be as hyped as it looked like it would be before the season, when these were the two consensus best teams in the AFC, but I'd still expect it to be a ratings winner. I'll be watching.
