Everybody remember when we had all those polls/contests to name the suffocating Pats D back in 2003 and 2004 (I still like my "NEfense"!).

Well this year, how about a "Name the O" contest.

After the first three games, "The 38 Specials" has a nice ring to it?

(OK, so it's a .38 Special, but what's a little dot between friends?).

The Bomb Squad!!!!!:rocker:

The 38 Special is perfect (like it better without the "s".)

I could also go with Tom Brady's Flying Circus

This is a conversation started at the Herald and continued at PFW in Progress. The obvious choice is "The Brady Bunch," but that's too...flimsy and lame.

Brady's Bombers
Moss' Monsters
Welker & the Wankers
Maroney's Maulers
Light & The Loafers

Welker and the Wankers????? Light and the Laofers??????

Who are you? Frank Moga????? :D

But along those lines (pardon the pun) how 'bout the "Koppen Cabana"?

Logan's Heroes?

I still like Slagathor's "The Bomb Squad" so far.

Actually, if memory serves, the Globe ran a contest in the run-up to the Pats-Carolina SB, where the goal was to come up with a creative name for it.

The winner was "Pats, Cats, and Ten-Gallon Hats."

One of the runner-ups was ".XXXVIII Special." ;)

"The Camera Crew" :D

Somebody in the Herald thread suggested the "Razor Offense" that mows down (or slices through?) the opposition. Pretty nice...quick, memorable and lethal. Not too big a sop to the stadium sponsor? :)

The offense is the Brady Bunch

Doesn't matter what we think. That's what 2 broadcasting crews have been using so far.

I think we are stuck with it.
