All threads posted that contain a link must be backed up with at least 1 paragraph of opinion. What constitues a paragraph??? I would think 4 or 5 sentences at least or like a school essay (X) amount of words minimum.

If Mikey or whomever is forced to declare opinion specifically related to their link they may think twice before doing it.

Also...repeated threads with the same agenda will receive a warning from the mods. This will give the mods a (YELLOW CARD) capability of warning antagonizers who are creating bad karma in the forum. Repeated threads of the same specific topic are IMO political activist threads. We do not exist for that purpose and we should not exist for that purpose.

The forum exists to keep this stuff out of the Patriots forum. Would anyone post "SOLDIERS KILLED" repeatedly in that forum? If they did IAN would sack them. Would anyone post political or issues related posts in the Patriots forum? Sure they would...but IAN would move them and that alone shows the difference here on this PATRIOTS SITE.

THIS IS A PATRIOTS MESSAGEBOARD. IT'S NOT A LEFTY OR RIGHTY POLITICAL CRAP SITE. IAN CREATED IT TO MAKE MEMBERS HAPPY. HIS INTENT WAS NEVER INTENDED TO ALLOW A VOICE FOR TROUBLE MAKERS.

I was considered an antagonizer for a time here. Me and JoeSixPat were both accused at the same time. We changed for the good of the forum...NEM changed for the good of the forum...others as well. MIKEY refuses to change his ways...what does that tell you? To me...it shows disrespect for the site and us members...disrespect should be a capital offense here.

Would people give F.B.N. some feedback on this rule?

I would point out this rule would exclude many of the posts by JackPMiller and also exclude some of the links to political essays where the poster doesn't present his/her point of view. This post would also make it more difficult to post items on which one doesn't have an opinion.

Some of the threads what would not have been allowed include, and these are just ones I found very very quickly:

    http://www.patsfans.com/new-england-patriots/messageboard/showthread.php?t=37243
    http://www.patsfans.com/new-england-patriots/messageboard/showthread.php?t=37212
    http://www.patsfans.com/new-england-patriots/messageboard/showthread.php?t=37179
    http://www.patsfans.com/new-england-patriots/messageboard/showthread.php?t=37160
    http://www.patsfans.com/new-england-patriots/messageboard/showthread.php?t=37127

I am often accused of bias, even though I know I'm pretty even handed, and I feel this rule would only complicate that.

Well...you have a point here. So how can we deal with threads that post a link just to rattle the cage?

I found something..would be nice if people offered opinion. Jack could offer a line or two also. He is an intelligent guy whose opinions were well written when he took time to type them.

POSTING CONTENT I like this one.
All posts must contain some aspect of an argument or attempt to stimulate discussion. Simply posting a URL to an outside source or posting statements that are only one or two sentences long will not be tolerated and the post will be deleted. In addition, use the search feature to ensure that the topic you are posting is not already being discussed somewhere else in the forums.

If there is no link no post??? And if no opinion no post??
Just curious what other political forums do?? No sense reinventing the wheel...
    What were the rules before??
