thats my first round mock 2.0 let me know what you guys think

Keep the pick and draft Gilmore or Nick Perry. I'd take Nick Perry. I think Brockers or Still could slip to us. A lot less film on the redshirt soph. He's more of a risk. That's why he slips. Also, could be a reason we don't take him. I think your draft is good. No major disagreement. I think Philly takes Kuechly though. They need a lb more than a cb. They have Nnamdi, Samuel and Rodgers-Cromartie.

Without being able to predict trades, I think you did a fantastic job. There is nothing that sticks out as unreasonable, and the whole thing looks pretty original. The only thing I would change would be the Pats taking Brockers at 27 and trading 31, because the Packers could consider a 3-4 DE. But then you run the risk of losing Konz to trade so I can see why you wouldn't do that. Either way I like it. Great Job.

Last year the Pats traded pick #28 for a second rounder and a 1st rounder the next year. That is the going price. The rule of thumb that BB goes by is if I give you a pick in round x this year, you have to give me a pick in round x +1 next year. No way they trade a pick straight up. In the case of a first rounder he is going to want at least a second rounder this year, and their first next.

I agree. There is no way whatsoever that Philly drafts a CB in the 1st round. None.

Also, Bill would demand at least this year's late 3rd/early 4th from Atlanta,
in addition to next year's 1st, for 27. (ref.: 2007, NE & SF)

i think they may end up cuting or Tradeing Samuel i cant see them spending almost 30 million on three CB's now that they give DeSean Jackson he's big pay day

Excellent effort and I would love to see the draft fall this way.

I happen to think that Philly taking Kirkpatrick is very realistic. The NFL is a passing league now and Kirkpatrick is huge and very physical, but can cover and tackle very well. This would be a smart pick for Philly.

The Jets will be very difficult to run on with Harris and Kuechly in the middle.

I see a lot of buzz about the Steelers being in love with Hightower. And that scares me, because I would love to have Hightower on our roster next year.

If the Broncos get Still, their front seven is starting to look very solid.

We'd have to get much more than Atlanta's 2013-1st rounder for that trade to make any sense. Trade a 1st for a 1st? And Atlanta doesn't appear like they will suck next year. At best that 2013 pick would only be 10 spots higher than the 2012 pick. Besides, a deferred pick does nothing to help the D _this year_, while Brady is still young enough to lead us to a Superbowl. Enough of the deferring picks.

Also, I doubt Brockers last that long. DL usually go earlier than similar prospects at other positions and somebody earlier will probably fall in love with his dimensions. Plus, I'm not sure Brockers is BB's kinda prospect. Not enough production over a sustained time.

But overall a very solid effort. Many of those picks make a ton of sense.

Wait, what the hell is the point of trading pick #27 to Atlanta for their 1st rounder next year? Atlanta is a perennial playoff team which means at the very most we are only able to move up 6 spots next year. Totally pointless trade unless we're getting a 2nd or 3rd this year as well.

Also, Kuechly doesn't make it to #16, that seems to be a fantasy of people overdoing matching up needs. Kuechly is a day 1 starter in the NFL and ILBs like him only come around once every 2-4 years and when they do they go top ~10. You're going to see a team with (seemingly) no LB need take this guy top 10, could even be the Bucs at #5.

pretty close except I don't see the Jets taking Kuechly over Upshaw.....need wins out on that one. I can't see the chargers passing on fletcher cox. with manning in denver, I see fleener as a no-brainer there. If the pats don't take brockers at 27, he won't get past the ravens.....besides, I don't see brockers on the pats
