My plan price is jumping 48+% from 2013 to 2014.

I would love to know how other people are making out.

This is because Obama wants you to provide free health care to illegal aliens.

+ He thinks he is better equipped to determine what sort of Health insurance you need than you are.

The cost of my plan is marginally higher, but I now have deductibles. I figure it is going to cost me about 2-3K per year more

Why do you continually spew trash, 13? Is it that the truth isn't scary enough for you?

You must be the luckiest 30 something year old male in the country if nothing changed in your healthcare cost or coverage.

Exactly...so why did 13 throw some red herring lie about illegals getting health care into it?

Our health care stayed basically the same. Small increase in cost to us, same deductions and copays.

My sister was able to insure two of her adult children on her policy thus granting health insurance to two people who were previously priced/turned down out of the market.

My youngest son's insurance went from a catastrophic only policy to a full coverage policy at a small increase in his employee-paid part.

My middle son owns several franchises - they have always offered insurance so there has been only a small change in what he and his employees pay this year as opposed to last year....just like all the years previously when their premiums went up.

I have not talked to my oldest son about it yet.

I will also ask my youngest son's girlfriend who is self-employed at a new business what is happening with her.

We lost our coverage due to Obamacare. Have a quote for $955 per month with a $6,300 per person deductable from BCBS that we can't sign up for due to the fact we can't get on the website to find out what our subsdy will be.

In 8 weeks my family will have no healthcare.

    $955 per month is a 5% , 30 year mortgage for a $178,000 house.

Luck has nothing to do with it, I chose my job, in part, because of the fantastic benefits.

Why did your employer stop offering healthcare? are they increasing your salary? or did you voluntarily take a huge pay cut?

So your rates may (likely are) going up but the company may be absorbing some or all of the increase????? Do you know if they are absorbing the increase? If they are then your overall rates ARE going up, it just doesn't affect you due to the largesse of your employer.

Edit- I am covered through my wife's employer and they have already informed us rates are going up, way up but they don't know how much. I provide it to my employees as I posted before and we already know how that went up, by a lot...

I predict you will see many news stories in February when people realize that their deductibles went up by a great amount to $5 or $6 K per year per person which is essentially no coverage unless you have a major problem or hospitalization...In the good old days, if you took a high deductible plan, your rates went down. Now you get the high deductible plan and your rates go up....

It was my wifes insurance. My wife and I are both self-employed. She got a job 6 years ago that offered health insurance for PT workers.

We can all see now why Nancy (Teeth) Pelosi didn't want anybody to read this Obamacrap until they passed it.

That's really one for the history books "you can't see whats in it until you pass it"

The deductibles are usually used towards things like ER visits, ambulance rides, and expensive tests, depending on your insurance.

Rates had been increasing over a number of years, this is the first year they haven't gone up. There is no change to my coverage.

The employer mandates were delayed a year stay tuned. Unless you work for the gov or a company that got a crony waiver from the administration.

Right, I should listen to somebody who is proven wrong on an almost daily basis.
