Every focus group and every poll indicated Obama won the debate.

    But one.

Fox had it 82-15 McCain. What is this, Pravda???

at least MSNBC has people like Joe Scarborough and Pat Buchanan prominent in their analysis. CNN has Bill Bennett and they always put a couple of Republican strategists in their roundtables at least, and with the exception of Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow, if Obama screws up, the analysts on CNN and MSNBC will say he screwed up.

    Now we come to FOX.

every one of them....."Ive never seen McCain sharper" "McCain clearly won this" "McCain had Obama on the defensive" and that viewer text poll??

    82-15???? Give me a break.

FOX needs to be honest and just call themselves Republican TV.

Saw that, but I believe it is a viewers poll.. not a scientific one....

    which tells you

    A) the mentality of FOX viewers

    B) Why does FOX present this as anything that means anything?

Fox has Combs. And one of their analysts was one of Hillary's people. Fox basically has two hard core partisans, Hannity and O'Reilly. MSNBC has two hard core Liberals in Olberman and Maddow + Mathews is really close.

If you want to say that Fox is as biased as MSNBC, great - although I disagree, I watch them both and MSNBC is FAR worse. But to suggest Fox is more biased than MSNBC is simply wrong.

    I can't speak to CNN, I don't watch it.

Media is fragmented and biased now.
There really isn't an objective source anymore.

Fox is one of the worst, but it's bad in general for all media. It's all propaganda of some sort.

A recent poll had people who get their news primarily from Fox News preferring McCain by an 88-6% margin over Obama. While their is probably some self-selection bias inherent here, I think this is a pretty strong indicator that Fox is providing very slanted coverage.

No, it's because Conservatives watch Fox. Honestly some of you have no clue about cause and effect.

I hear what you are trying to say, but what you just wrote makes no sense.

You mean to say 'self selection bias'.

That 82-15 figure is from their "text in" poll, and not a focus group. Furthermore, since most right of center voters watch Fox, why would their feeling McCain won the debate (which most people felt was a draw). surprise you?

I watch them all, and sorry, they are all as bad as the other. To call Fox worse than the other two, is to be a democrat. To call the other two, worse than Fox, is to be a republican. Fox has Juan Williams, Kirsten Powers, Pat Caddell, Bob Beckel, & Alan Colmes on. Call them token liberals, or what have you, but they are there. They certainly are republican news, but the other two are democrat news. CNN isn't as blatantly obvious as MSNBC, but they had an Obama circle jerk round table on after the debate, with astute American political analysts like Michael "Marine assasination video" Ware, and Christiane Amanpour.

Amanpour, the political, and US societal expert that she is, actually said that (paraphrasing here) "everywhere I go the #1 issue the people in this country speak to me about, is how America's viewed by the world." or what have you. Really ? Where you hanging out Christiane? Cambridge?

One thing has become crystal clear over these past few weeks, "Lifer": you are certainly no Christian. You are about as much of a "Christian" as Barack Obama is: "God DAMN America". Jesus would take one look at you and say: "Depart from me, I never knew you." And that's the gospel truth.

And if FOX needs to declare themselves "Republican TV", then all the other networks, CNN, and newspapers and magazines need to declare themselves: "Democrat Party (socialist-communist)".

Amanpour is NOT American. Never was, never has been. Her views are strictly her own non-American bias. Why CNN gives her a voice is revealing about CNN's allegiance to America. Personally, I think CNN should be booted out of America, Ted Turner and all. If you hate America don't stay in America. Plain and simple.

    Funny thing about debates.

I support Obama, but cringed throughout that entire debate. I saw McCain as far more comfortable, enjoying himself, calm, steering the debate in his direction and keeping Obama on the defensive throughout. I felt he clearly had the better debate performance and would have been one of the 82% choosing McCain on that Fox poll.

The fact that all the other polls (including Gallup, etc.) have the nation leaning towards Obama in that debate frankly mystifies me. He looked stiff, humorless and defensive throughout. He backpedaled whenever he wasn't "agreeing with John".

Are you under the impression that the media has to pledge allegiance to the government?

And YOU have been complaining of others' "fascism"?????????????

    Wow.

I know what you're saying but I think MSNBC is demonstrably worse than Fox. O'Reilly, while a Conservative, has worked hard to acknowledge the other side and is not more biased than Mathews now. Hannity has Combs. MSNBC still has the Olberman and Maddow circle jerk (OK, not quite the right word but Maddow is a lesbian).

As an avid Hardball viewer, MSNBC has gone so far of the deep end compared to 4+ years ago, that it is admittedly difficult to watch at times. I personally think that Fox's bias is seen as obvious by most, because it is the only genuine right leener in the mainstream MSM. When people watch CBSNBCABCCNNMANBC they get center left news, which makes Fox's slant stick out. When everyone's wearing blue shirt, the single guy wearing red will always stick out. With MSNBC going to the extreme left, the bias isn't as visually one sided anymore. Odorman is truly out of control. There isn't a singular anchor at Fox who is as outrageous. Hannity is a GOP schill, but he's leeshed somewhat by Combs. There is not such restraint on Odorman.

Huh? O'Reilly is such a nut that he shuts out Ron Paul from speaking when he is making O'Reilly look like the moron he is.

O'Reilly isn't anywhere near as politically outrageous as Odorman is. BOR had complimentary things to say about Obama after his interview with him.

Then so should Fox News, and all the others, be booted. I posted in another thread on the night of the debate, about how disgusted I was with the post debate work of all the major stations. The so called "analysts" were basically schills for their joe, as opposed to be honest about what they saw. It was gross.
