What is a good movie to watch with the wife, that I would like, but she will also comply with watching. It is my turn to pick, but she has influence ;)

Rent Frailty with matthew McCongnahey(sp) and Bill Paxton. It's a really good thriller, with a great twist at the end. Really underrated flick.

Me and my wife love older movies so there is hundreds for me. TCM is always a great escape. As far as newer movies (within the last 30 years ) I'd go with Say Anything, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Almost Famous(I love this one, with one of the greatest soundtracks ever) and An Officer and a Gentleman.

That is an excellent thought. It Happened One Night is bomb-proof, as is The Thin Man (the original Nick and Nora movie). But you know your wife better than I do ...

Well my wife likes stuff like the notebook (pretty much anything sappy} and I like anything, but it needs to be newer and something she can watch and get into. So far all of these are great ideas, and thanks for the help!

Show her a good mob thriller. Rent Road to Perdition.

If you like classics, On Golden Blonde might be something you two would enjoy.

If you enjoy a good action movie, with a science meets prehistoric earth theme, then Jurrasic Pork could be for you. J Pork actually stars a Patsfan.com member, Tyler Faith.

An action comedy maybe? Then try Big Trouble in Little Vagina.

Since this is an election year, you might want to give Forest Hump a look.

You can't go wrong with any movie by Cameron Crowe--

Say Anything, Singles, Almost Famous, Jerry Maguire-

They are very romantic, but have cool music, humor and sports references for the guys.

Jerry Maguire was great. Hey, Drew Bledsoe had a cameo.
You really believed the Tom Cruise and Renee Z characters cared for each other, even though they had not much in common.

If you are going sentimenal route "somewhere in time" is sure to get her crying. jane seymore never looked better.

My wife can like the sappy movies, but for some reason, she loved Boondock Saints. :confused2:

    A potential sleeper pick.
