Moss not in TO's league

Lito is one of the best corners in the game and I've always said that if you hit Moss and Jam him at the line he can be taken out of the game. That's why I laughed when people say it's easier to take TO out of a game than Moss, It's not TO is physical and will battle any CB that challenges him. TO, 90% of the time will get off the jam and run a crossing or slant that nets him YAC. Moss can't, you see that if you're physical with Moss he can't hurt you but with TO it's more difficult because you can line him up anywhere on the field. People talk about Moss has better hands, he does, but TO has the intangibles. Heart. So when Moss can't streak down the field wide open for a TD he isn't productive. I think Moss is a great WR I just have to question the people who say he's head and shoulders better than TO, he's not, they're equally talented. Moss has hands, speed, Leaping ability, while TO has strength, Size, toughness.

When TO went up against LIto he had 10 catches, 172 yards 1 td. He was jammed at the line of scrimmage but managed to break away most of the time. He's more physical than Moss could ever be. But that blueprint is wack because the pats will go 19-0 and win the superbowl so it's actually a mute point.
If TO stops dropping TD passes, I might be inclined to listen.

Re: TO best Wr in the NFL It's true

Can You imagine if TO was on the pats. With Tom brady? He's putting up numbers like Moss with TOny "Restuaraunt" romo, Moss couldn't put up these kind of numbers with Romo. TO is great.

*FART* zzzzzzzz

Yeah, imagine what Brady would do with the guy who leads the league in drops every year versus the most gifted receiver ever.

Re: TO best Wr in the NFL It's true

See what happens when the cowboys throw up some wins in the J.V. conference, their fans show back up here and have somehow convinced themselves the pimp slapping the patriots laid on them a couple weeks ago was a fluke.

Re: TO best Wr in the NFL It's true

Yeah, and just imgaine what Tom Brady could do, with a receiver like, I don't know, Jabar Gaffney, and they play for the NFC? Tom would be the heralded GOD and savior of the league. But instead, Tom plays in a conference that actually shows up to play nearly every game.

I'd just like to see what T.O. would do playing in the American Conference for one full season.

Bah-it's no big deal, either way. Both are/were superstars, and it's just them doing their thing, that's all.

Yea, but TO is right. KJ was never the player TO is. Yea, I have seen TO drop a few passes in clutch moments. But he's made far more clutch receptions and TD's for that matter than KJ could ever hope for.

I'm a big SC fan and I remember both of them coming up. It seemed like KJ had the potential to be a TO like WR coming out of school. After all KJ went in the 1st and TO went in the 3rd. As it turns out he actually never was as good as TO.

KJ is still as petty as he always was. Just throw me the damn ball. Pfft, for what? :D

I believe Owens came from some no-name college(?Tennesse Chattanooga something?). Nonetheless, I was SURPRISED by how much of a splash he made, almost immediately, in his rookie year. Of course, his first big moment was that amazing TD catch in the final seconds in that '98 NFCWCG.

Anyhow-if it weren't for his reputation of being a lockerroom cancer, he would be going down as one of the all-time greatest over-achievers.

As much as I really like Romo-truth be told, the Dallas O DOES revolve around Owens.

TO is hilarious:D and Right. LMAO He was on the radio a few hours ago, it was a funny and good interview.

Q: TO, what happened between you and Keyshawn johnson? It just exploded today, I'm watching Espn and they're bringing it up, making a big deal out of it, what happened?

TO: It's just me being fed up with a lot of things that he had to say about me. I watch what's being said about me and he has been one of the people who have attacked me. Criticized me, said somethings about me so I said somethings about him and they're true. He'll never be at my level, he never has been. I've always been better than him and he knows it. He won a ring but as I said earlier you wouldn't know it because he's never been a nothing more than a role player. It wasn't like he was jerry rice, catching clutch passes and dominating, he was being carried by warren sapp and that Defense.

Q: So you never seen him as a peer?

TO: Of course not, Just look at the stats. It's right there, it's not hard to see who's the best. I'm not even concerned about him.

Q: One of the things Keyshawn said He took issue with you about is that you continued to take shots at bill parcells and that you needed to move on.

TO: Well first off I was asked about Bill and I gave the facts. I'm better than I was last year because I have a coach and a offensive corrdinator who know what I mean to this team. I'm a gamechanger and they use me as such. That's all I said.

Q: I don't know if you saw this TO, but Keyshawn was on NFL live and responded to your comments. He said something to the effect of, "I don't play with skunks because they can pee on you" or something. Did you catch what he said? What do you think?

TO: I don't care about anything he's said. Period. As far as I'm concerned I'm done with him.

Q: So you won't comment anymore?

TO: No. I'm giving him too much publicity, this is the most attention he's ever received in his life and it comes because of me. Think about it, this guy won a superbowl and still didn't get this level of attention. As far as I'm concerned I should charge him for my services. That was good

ugh, I don't even want to respond to this thread, because that's giving TO more attention than he deserves. but seriously, I can't recall a bigger whiny, childish, selfish attention whore in as long as I've been watching the NFL.

how many other people could you read in the news that they tried to commit suicide, and immediately think "there's just no way, he loves himself way too much"? what a jerk.

Concur. Did you hear TO's comments about the diff between Parcells and Phillips? He said the difference is that in the current O they use him and think of him as a playmaker. The Parcells O really didn't. I think he's absolutely right about that also. Pfft, he still managed 13 TD's last season, prolly dropped 4 others. LMAO, the most TD's meshawn ever had was 10.

Parcells really wasn't much of an X's and O's guy(and he was even less successful at utilizing the strengths of the talent involved).

This year-Owens is being moved around alot at the LOS(especially in the slot, at times, to get mismatches). Tuna was too stubborn to keep leaving him at the weak side 95%, where all the DBs had to do was to merely jam him.

Yea, and even when they decoyed him on the weak side it wasn't effective because they weren't utilizing him as the man.

Another TO thread by "juice". This, I believe, makes 6 in the past two weeks.

Talk about obsession. Now off to the VLR to be merged with teh other "juce" to threads.

Does TO still own Lito Sheppard and the Eagles secondary?? He torched them for 2 catches and 32 yards :D
