More Moss criticism - Irresponsible Journalism

Anyone who has followed the Pats this year knows Moss has hardly talked to the media all season except for a few rare occasions. To draw your entire premise of why you think Moss is "sulking" from his refusal to do interviews is not only irresponsible and baseless, but it also exposes the writer as someone who hasn't followed the team closely and simply running with what Jowarski pointed out.

Its completely insane that Moss is in the midst of a record breaking season yet there is still an article calling him a possible detriment to the team. And people wonder why he shuns the media and doesn't trust them?? The guy has never been given a fair shake, ever since he was drafted.

Please don't confuse sport's writing and journalism. That way lies madness.

Try not to let it eat to much... The writer of this article is fixin to eat his words when Moss gets the single season TD record or hell, even beats his own TD record... But, this dude is a idiot, basing this article off of "not answering questions to the media"... He's upset and whining that Moss wouldn't talk to him... How childish...

Are they just pulling guys off the street now? Seriously, what are the credentials required to be a yahoo sports writer?

Re: More Moss criticism - Irresponsible Journalism

No wonder Moss has such as a bad reputation - the media is just piling it on him. Terrell Owens constantly mouths off and is a known cancer to his team, and he is often compared to Moss, a guy that doesn't have to say or do anything wrong to induce this sort of garbage.

Moss has done everything that we've asked him to. He's had a few bad games (and these bad games could be blamed on Brady's missed balls, or the O-lines struggles, OR just a bad game) and suddenly he's a bad person again. Pathetic.

This just furthers my statement that these 99.99% of analysts do not watch the games and only pass over the stat sheet.

He's bitter that his fantasy football team has been struggling the past 2 games.

How stupid is that? Did it occur to them that Moss is one of the main reasons we're perfect so far?

Re: More Moss criticism - Irresponsible Journalism

This is how its been with him his entire career. We all remember how the media attacked him for the fake mooning incident. You had journalist after journalist calling him a punk and actually taking shots at him as a person...because of fake mooning. Think about that.

No, this is NOT "irresponsible journalism."

Look at the headline: "OPINION: Lazier Moss could ruin Pats' perfection".

This is one guy's opinion and is clearly labelled as such. And most of it isn't particularly controversial.

The reality is that once anyone gets a rep, deserved or not, forever after people will constantly evaluate their actions looking for signs. People here do it as much as sportswriters do.

    Disable Jersey

It may be OPINION but the author's facts are not correct. Moss gives a lengthy, detailed interview after Pats games shown locally on 'Patriots Fifth Quarter'. In fact he was MUCH more affable with the press than Tom Brady was. Brady did not tolerate questions about the Pats being 'lucky' with calls to end the game.
