Says some money issues farged things up a few hours ago.

Money issues ? Really ? That's hard to believe ;)

Well I tried to summarize what he said but didn't catch it quickly enough.

ESPN definitely seems to think it's over, in stark contrast to PFT. I guess we'll see who has better sources.

Mortenson has been enjoying tea and crumpettes at Upshaw's house all week. We all know where his information is coming from.

He came out and said today that he thought that the NFL would be better without a salary cap.

He's out of his mind but that's what he's actully been saying for the past few days.

Yea I heard this to.. I just got back from NJ this weekend and on the way down he was on MIke And Mike claming the NFL hasn't been as good of a product the past couple of years. Rookies are pushed to play earlier and this is why we don't see many good young QB's.
I like the salary cap and so don't most fans in any sport...

Try this spin then, and it is my own.

If the QUALITY of play has been worse over the past few years, then that is mostly due to the players. Therefore, they deserve LESS of the pie, not more.

Not really my viewpoint, but thought it was a slippery slope to start bringing in "level of play".
